So, I've been joyfully playing with my Ego twist. (It's a 650 not the 1000) Happy with it! However, along with this I got an excaliber 6ml tank. Really liked that too until it popped and shot juice in my face. Why the heck did that happen? I had it cranked up as high as it could go cause I really enjoyed the huge cloud I was making. I mean really, people could hire me at a fog machine.

What did I do wrong?

Be careful when you unscrew it too. make sure you unscrew the part that screws onto the battery and not the part above it that screws on the bottom of the tank itself. Lost 6 mls of my fav juice. ACK!

Just because a device is VV doesn't mean that every accessory is designed for higher voltages. The Twist does have an amp limit so it should have throttled back if the tank resistance was to low...

Google tells me those tanks are 2.4-2.8 ohms so there should not be any problem using those at the highest Twist voltage.
Something was probably wrong with that tank is my guess.

I can't for the life of me come up with any way for the variables and mechanics involved to cause enough internal pressure to "pop" a tank.

Phew, that was close...moving right along, do you mean the tank itself popped as in busting plastic and metal, or was there a pop and it splattered out the drip tip?

On many an accessory I have heard a pop, felt the tell tale drop of hot on the tongue or roof of mouth and kept on vaping with no issue.

LMAO! yea it just popped on outta the drip tip!

That's a normal occurence for many drippers. Takes a little more heat to have it spatter longer distances like that. You must have had things really hot.

Yes, Trav is right...I have had it spurt out of the tip a little into my mouth a few times when it is real juicy and it gets hot.
