What time each morning do you have your first vape?

Back when I smoked, I could never smoke first thing in the morning. Not within an hour or so, in fact. It's like my lungs just needed time to "get ready" each morning. If I tried anyway, I'd cough and hardly be able to inhale any smoke at all. What I usually did was light up my first cig on my way to work each morning.

Most smokers I've ever known do have their first one within 15 minutes or so of waking in the morning.

Now that I vape instead of smoke, I find that the same "schedule" is in effect. I can't vape within about an hour of waking. When I try earlier than that, I can barely inhale enough vapor to see any at all when I blow it out.

How about you? How long are you awake each morning (or evening for you vampires) when you first hit your PVD?

Interesting question. I was one of those smokers who kept my cigarettes on my nightstand, and reached for one before my feet hardly hit the floor!

Now that I am vaping, the same thing applies. I keep my MVP 2 on the nightstand, and grab it first thing when I wake up.

One thing I absolutely love about vaping (among tons of other positives, especially not smoking) is that I can actually sit in bed and read and vape, and not have to worry about falling asleep and setting the house on fire.

I start vaping as soon as I come downstairs in the morning. I make sure my batteries are charged and there is juice in the carto before I head for bed. First thing I do is pick up my PV, then I turn on the computer, let the dogs out, and start the coffee--vaping the entire time. I used to wake up thinking "yum coffee"; now I wake up thinking "yum, monkey business" (or whatever juice is in the tank).

I find I don't have the same sense of urgency to start vaping that I did when I smoked for some reason. I wait at least an hour or more in the morning. I do find that I chain vape at night while watching tv or playing on the computer though. I don't get the irritability anymore either, where I just have to get that nicotine in my system now or I'm going to kill somebody! Strange, maybe because it's absorbed differently? Don't know

I was an as soon as I got up smoker, I would have my first cig in the shower - the only cig I smoked inside.
Now I don't vape until I'm out of the shower, and it's just a puff here, a puff there while I'm getting ready in the morning.
Then on the walk to the bus stop about an hour later, I'm ready for some serious vaping.

I used to smoke as soon as my coffee was ready- about 30 minutes from waking up. now I vape usually while I'm making coffee.. tastes better than morning breath! lol

after a while of vaping when we need to and want to, we kind of train our bodies.. the nic is coming.. the nic fits don't need to happen..

When I was a smoker, I would run down the stairs grab a cig and go outside within 20 minutes of waking up. Rain or shine I was outside a lot. Now that I vape I am more relaxed in the mornings and don't feel the "gotta have" feeling. It is so nice to vape inside on a cold wet morning. I think I vape the most at night while watching TV or on the computer.

When I smoked I had my first cig within 15 minutes of getting out of bed at 6:30AM. Now that I am vaping I tend to go until around 8:30 or 9:00 AM, well after I get to work. I don't feel the NEED to get my nic fix as soon as I wake up. On weekends I have found myself pushing it even further, until 10:00 AM or later, without even thinking about it. I know I am much less dependent on nicotine now than I was when I smoked. I can get it when I want and I no longer feel those urges to fit it in ASAP.

When I smoked I was shunned to the outer reaches of hell to get my nic fix but now that I can vape pretty much wherever and whenever I want, I don't experience those urges that come from knowing I won't be able to get nicotine for a given period of time. I think that has been the most profound thing I have experienced while vaping. Knowing I can get my nicotine (pretty much) whenever I want it makes me want it less.
