So i started this thread for people to share there experiences of what they've notice change in there Sences/body since quitting Analogs So people can see what they have to Expect

so I've made it a month with no Stinkies and let me say I'm LOVING it, other than a few pimples I've been getting (which i havent gotten since i was 15) in the last week i feel Fresher if that makes sense.
I used to be a Chef and i don't think I really ever knew what food REALY tasted like untill the last few days (OMFG its amazing) i dont know if thats a good thing or a bad thing tho
My house is two story and i am finally able to reach the top of my stairs without being short of breath, and when i go for a run, i can now run for somuch longer before i need to walk to catch my breath.
People always talk about stopping to smell the roses, i tryed it once and thought MEH... but yesterday when i went for my run ,there is a house along my route that has about 10 rose bushes in the front yard, i could smell this amazing smell a couple of houses before i got to it, once i relised what that smell was i had to stop to smell the roses  I must say im in love with all these smells that weren't there before (well they were but i couldnt smell them)

The only bad thing for me is now I notice the smell of smoke on people and I can't stand it. Never noticed that before.

can u imagine what the non smoking population used to think about us!
i still go out for a vape when people go out for a smoke but its getting real hard to handle the stench...

I've had to quit cold turkey countless times. I didn't have a problem switching to vaping at all. It was a no brainer after so many in my family have had their health impacting so severely from smoking cigarettes. My grandpa almost died from lung cancer about a year ago. They removed one and half of his lungs :(
Seeing the damage that smoking causes and knowing that I can get nicotine without out the carcinogens by simply vaping it's a no brainer. People who continue to smoke who have tried vaping completely flabbergasts me. Why? I don't understand.

You have to expect that you will still suffer some withdrawl of the thousands of other crap that are in cigarettes. The first month was rough on me but after that I was fine. Plus now I have zero cravings. I do it cause I like it not because I have to do it.

I actually have not had BAD withdrawls, as u said some are expected, the only hard time I've had sofar was when i was on the whisky.
my itaste wasnt quite doing it.. luckily my mate showed up with his Stingray :hubba: man is that thing sexy blowing plumes did help lol..

I'm still coughing up alot of BLACK. how long does that take to stop?

Just about three and a half months for me. Yesterday I went to the grocery and in the area where you get a cart, I almost fell over from the smell of stale smoke from the woman who was ahead of me. I can go upstairs carrying two (small) dogs, come down, pick up another dog and go back upstairs and still not be out of breath (I used to sit down on the bed between trips). I also can walk with my son in the evenings without stopping every 30 steps to catch my breath. Oh and I drink tons of water, which is good for my whole body. WooHOO!!:vapor:

Yeah I honestly feel bad for ever saying "I don't smell anything :/"

The things I've noticed are other peoples smells for sure. And if you try an anolog again, they're HORRIBLE how could anyone have those disgusting grossers?

The bad things are that I waste time trying to chase an even better vape. I'm constantly trying to learn the best methods tips and tricks. May not be a bad thing but it does eat more time than taking a cig and lighting it..

More good news is the questions. I'm a social person. And its a great conversation starter. People always asking and wondering. Some can be ignorant "worse for you than normal cig" but I don't mind that as much as not being social lol

Well on the 4th is my Birthday and the 14th will be 6 months analog free! Yay Me. My senses were fully back about a month after quitting. I always said I would not be the ex-smoker who hates the smell of cigarettes but man this guy at my work it's just horrible! I hate even going in his office. It's like I just smoked one with him. LOL! (Joke between co-workers that don't smoke) Yeah it stinks. Buy the hubby is back on his cigars went to Vegas and it triggered him to smoke them again. At least he gets the good ones now from Thompsons. (He quit when I quit analogs) I was so worried that Vegas would make me go back. And almost the first night because one of my tanks was to tight. Plus some of juice spilled while on the plane I guess. I just left the juice in my tanks. Won't do that the next time I fly. LOL. Before we left I emptied them out except my favorite and that even leaked in my purse on the way home. I guess juice does not like to fly! What does not make any sense to me is when I knew I was going to Vegas I used google and yelp to find the shops out there and I only found two close to downtown Vegas. We really didn't do the strip this time. But I did see a lot of people at the slots with ego's vaping away it was a great sign!

The only symptoms I dealt with were sensitive teeth/gums, sleeplessness and the occasional pimple (not too uncommon for people my age so no big deal).

Now I can taste food, smell smells (smoke makes me want to vomit, idk how I used to do it) and I can be more active without having to catch my breath.

i used to smell like that, all of the time. that's great motivation to keep off the analogs.

You'll get vaper's tongue, and drink more water, which is a benefit to people like me who probably never drank enough water to begin with

Gum/teeth sensitivity were BIG deals for me during the first couple of months.

Got to make sure to vape less at night, man I had some late nights when 1st starting out.

I get winded much less, no hacking, coughing in the morning. I'm still waiting to cough up the accumulated crud from my lungs, I know it is there.

Othern' that, it is ALL good.

I never knew gum sensitivity was associated with giving up smoking as I knew smoking was bad for dental health. Mine have been a bit sore for a few days now and I hadn't made the connection. Nothing serious though, and I assume it will pass. I was couging up black stuff for the first couple of weeks, but that has stopped now.

I did have quite strong cigarette cravings at about 7-10 days, but that has passed now.

I'm noticing my sense of smell and taste improving. I've never been able to tolerate very spicy foods, but I've just tried to eat a curry that used to be at the top end of my spice-tolerance and it turns out I can't eat that one any more. But mostly it's a good thing and I am enjoying my food more, but without craving food all the time like I have on previous (failed) attempts to give up smoking.

I have Raynaud's, which is supposed to be made worse by smoking. I haven't noticed an improvement with that yet. But who knows, there are many other things that can cause it too. To be honest it's the health risks (cancer) that I'm now avoiding that are more important to me, but maybe soon I will also be able to use my hands in the mornings.

I've had a few cravings, but I don't think they were physical, I think it was behavioral, just the habit kicking in, wanting something to do, like run outside at every commercial. Even though it's nice to be able to kick back and not need to sprint for the porch, it feels like there's something I'm supposed to be doing other than watching those inane commercials. Hitting the mute button will have to suffice. :D

However at around 3 wks smoke-free, I became quite depressed, apparently a symptom of those MAOIs they put in tobacco leaving my body. It passed within a week, and there were no cravings associated with it, just a negative frame of mind. Glad when it left!!!

Yeah my sense of taste is much better, but I'm trying to LOSE weight, not gain it. And I already had an almost-supernatural sense of smell; my husband says pretty soon I'll be able to smell it when people 3 doors down the block pass gas... ;) With *this* sense of smell, driving past road-work where they're laying tar is almost unendurable -- I'll drive 10 miles out of the way to avoid THAT!

However, my husband (non-smoker, non-vaper) says I'm much nicer to kiss now... I'll take it. :D

Been 2 months. Sorry I LIKED CIGARETTES, like the smoke the flavor, the habit, the relaxation of it, love pipe tobacco smells, cigars (if a good one) etc.

But I had to quit, health reason alone no matter how much I liked them. That was the frustration of quitting.

Since going cold turkey and turning to vapes:

No tobacco stains on my teeth, gums are cleaner, hands cleaner, I vacuumed my car and it's still CLEAN inside 3 weeks later..

My LUNGS cleared up, I didn't get any of the hacking or weridness (smoked 1 - 1.5 packs a day, ultra lights) but I breath SO much easier, less winded, sleep better, snore less, no wheezing when I go to sleep at night. Sinuses, sence of smell and taste have greatly improved.

My blood circulation has improved as well as my high blood pressure has come down. No more nights trying to go to sleep with the slight wheezing in my lungs and my head thumping from the blood pressure.

Cravings? YES, the temptation is there big time. I find myself still looking for my pack of smokes and lighters on the car seats and in my pockets and occaisionally get that Oh crap I forgot them feeling. I have been offered a smoke a few times by friends and they smelled so good but I'm sticking with it and just grab my mod and VAPE like a mad man till the urge goes away.

So I'm still smoke free and resisting the urges and have replaced them with mad vaping, 4 mods, 30 bottles of JUICE, 10 batteries, 15 tanks of different types, building my own kayfun coils etc etc.

Spent too much money on my bad vape habit but I'm excited about it and being smoke free and feeling so much better. Hopefully after a few more months my vape buying spree and addiction will taper off a bit and will level out to just smooth easy vaping to relax.

I'd like to weigh in my experience here.

When I quit smoking, for the first week or so, I felt amazing. Vaping felt like the answer to all of my problems. I only ever really had a craving during the first 24 hours, and my first e-cig was a Blu disposable. About four days in, I purchased my first eGo T and I felt like I had "arrived"!

About two weeks into vaping, I started coming down with a cold. It was a bad one, and it lasted for the better part of two weeks afterwards. At first, I wondered if maybe vaping was causing me to cough stuff up, blow my nose all the time, etc. I thought maybe my PG/VG ratio was off. I kept at it, though, and soon realized that it was really mostly just my lungs/sinuses clearing themselves out. I bought my eGo four weeks ago today, and I'm feeling much better.

When I hit the three week mark, I started feeling depressed like one of the above posters mentioned. That was hard. I'm feeling better in that way now too. :)
