hello ECF I'm brand new to diy & I have a question about diy mixing...what type of alcohol is best to use when mixing juice & what does it actually do to or for the juice? also was wondering if it's ok to use rum, I have a bottle of malibu rum on hand & I'm kinda on the broke side & don't want to go to the store to buy a bottle of alcohol. much thanks to anyone that can lend a hand & point me in the right direction.......as always keep on vapin' on ECF :vapor:

So far I've used rum, brandy, tequila, gin and of course, Everclear. I have some Decadent Vapours Malt Whisky flavouring I still haven't tried yet, and I'll probably work some Chivas Regal scotch in with that one.

Does Malibu Rum have sugars in it? Might cause gunk buildup if it does.

I'm almost certain that Malibu has some sort of sugar in it. I think a lot of spiced ones will as well (Capn Morgan and such) but I never drink those. I'm thinking to go with Bacardi 151 once I get around to going to the liquor store. How is vaping brandy? I might pick up a good whiskey and try that as well.

I just buy a cheap vodka to thin my VG - I've also used distilled water - The alcohol is supposedly bringing a bit of TH to the party though, so that's appealing to me. Otherwise I'd just use water.

Well got my first DIY stuff in today (60mg PG based nic juice and a bottle of regular PG no nic) I like a HEAVY TH and I thought that a pure PG base would be great but to my suprise I felt almost no TH at all. Hmmm so I thought I would try adding a little Absolute Vodka 80 proof to it and wow got a good TH.

I dont get it, I thought PG would give out the big TH. Am I miss led or am i doing something wrong?
