With my 1.8ohm Nautilus coils I find myself vaping right around 3.8v. With my 2.1ohm iclear30s coils I use around 4-4.2v. Rarely do I go over 4.2v. It's like I have some kind of mental block lol. Doing the math it seems I like around 8-8.5 watts even though I use my vv v3 and MVP2 in voltage mode.

Don't get too caught up in the numbers. It's about the vape, not the math. ;)

Common sense needs to figure in there somewhere as well and the numbers help with that ;-)

I dont have anything against people vaping at high watts but in the case of the OP running LR atties at 5 volts is just plain dangerous for the reasons I outlined earlier.

What people forget to mention a lot of times when they say theyre running at 30 watts is that you cant do it without the right equipment and fail safes built in.

I vape at the level that gives me a good exhale stream. Since I tend to vape 100%PG and 80/20 most of the time higher voltages can get pretty throaty. Too much and I start to feel throat and bronchial irritation and that isn't fun. PG and VG can give you a tickle cough if you get too much concentration.

I have to wonder if those who vape high wattage are high VG vapers. Try it with some 100% PG and report back. I'm betting that the throat hit is like those old Home Run cigarettes.

True, but I meant that more along the lines of the posts that go "I just saw some guy on YouTube vaping his Kanger PT2 on his Zmax at 8.5 watts, but I can't go over 7!! What's up with that?"

If you're happy with the vape, it doesn't matter if you're at 6 watts or 15 watts.

i want to know what temperature and how much surface area everyone's vaping with.

oh, and the cubic centimeters per time interval of airflow that your wicks and coils are exposed to.

but i'll play fair. i vape anywhere between 6 and 20 watts. all depends on what works best at the time with the particular equipment and how it's set up. though, to be honest, if it just doesn't perform, it's got to go.

probably 380F @ .017 sqr cm and pulling 380CC's per 3.2 seconds
