I've gone through lots of devices and ended up with a provari 3. It's a great device that will do a lot more than people think. I've run drippers as low as .8 ohms but find for me going 30-32g at 1.2-1.5 dual coil set ups works better at 15w than 26-24g .3 at 50w.

The price is steep but the support provape gives is well worth it. I broke my p3 firing pin doing a bone head move and provape fixed it under warrantee even though I told them I screwed it up.

I do sometimes run high power drip set ups but I have a 2nd mod just for that. My provari is my workhorse mod for ADV

Welcome to ECF.
I would suggest that you get the following regulated device.
Eleaf , iStick, 50W
Output up to 50 watts.
Fire down to a .2 ohm coil.
Will make a great back-up device if you do decide to move on to more wattage mods or into the mechanical mods.
Something to use while you explore the tons of other information about many of the other units folks have mentioned.
Yea, for the price it isn't too bad.

Awesome thanks for the info!

So I'll probably get an iStick 50 while I do a lot more research(and get verified), hopefully they will have one at one of my local shops. Thanks for all the info everyone! If anyone else has any thoughts before I do, let me know.

Hello I am new here as well but have been vaping for about 3 months now. Take a look at the iStick 30w and 50w. I currently use the iStick 30w with both aspire nautilus mini and Kanger SUBTANK-MINI. 1.8 ohm with the naut and .5 ohm with the sub. I play around with the subtank for big hitting clouds and use the nautilus for daily use. Both tanks perform awesome on the 30w iStick.

For me, there really isn't any reason to spend a lot of money. There are plenty of mods that have a lot of "growing into" flexibility. Warranties and all, I have noticed that they are getting better across the board, at least for the mainstream products. Warranties weren't as prevalent two years ago.

With the prices, I will always have an interest in new capabilities and so I try to get a mod that is flexible, but...

By practice, I use up to 25-30 watts and that tends to be for RDAs. Box mods were coming out about my time and they took off. Some people wanted a smaller size (stealthiness), some for just not wanting to be walking around with a lightsaber in their hands, and others for something that fit in their pocket better.

There is good quality and safe mods at the lower or mid ranges. I researched the pros and cons and read these forums pretty much every day. I didn't buy what someone else said, but I did consider.

Also, on You-tube, there are many reviews.

Hope helps

Decided to try out the iStick 50w. Ordered one off of mtbaker for a killer price. 81 bucks for the mod, Nautilus Mini, and a 5 pack of coils. free shipping and a 10% discount(90 bucks for everything normally). Gives me something to play around with while I research more :D.
Thank you for everyone's info, helps so much more to be able to ask my own questions rather than wade through hours of videos and hundreds of hours of forum reading.
