I see a lot of creative, clever forum names and always wondered what the story was behind them.

Mine comes from FPS games. I always thought it was funny to see, "You've been killed by AStilettoHeel" (yes, I know I have a twisted sense of humor). Then when Kent shortened it to ASH, I thought, "Perfect acronym for an e-cig forum"!

So, how did you come up with your forum name?

Several years ago I had a very popular web site. When I sold the site I needed to change my email addy so I wouldn't keep getting emails relating to the site. I chose fraychek because it still related somewhat to the subject, and me. (Fraycheck is a product used by people in the needle arts to keep fabric from fraying.) I use my email addy for forums because it's easy for me to remember.

Fraychek, love that stuff for sewing/quilting! Nothing too exciting 'bout "baseballmom", my older son plays, he's really good (s/s and 3rd, won the school silver slugger award last 2 seasons, also plays AAU), just a name most of us go by, as a group "baseballmoms"-glove finding, Gatorade purchasing, pants washing(love shout and we all have our unique stain removal techniques), car pooling, cheering loudly crazy women..name wasn't taken, so if the shoe fits...on reddit, had to add my lucky #13 to it

And getting killed by a stiletto heel-Ouch!!! Pretty wicked way to go maybe more painful than some masculine methods...????(traditionally masculine methods, who knows anymore, women can be pretty hardcore, and men unconventional too)

Mine comes from my Air Force days. Gopher because I was a gopher in my early airman days... go for this, go for that... The byrd comes from roommates back then. One was a funny bird, another a turkey, so they called me gopher bird. I just decided to spell it with a y to make it different. I've had this handle for almost 40 years. Dang, it's been that long???

Well I signed up through facebook so it kept that name for here. Megan Ratchford is my real name but kogijiki is a name I've used on lots of forums so people can find me. Kogi=Cherokee for crow and jiki= the Japanese word for porcelain. :D

In socom 2 I had the name Stupidity on the International server... so it would always say "XXXX was fragged by Stupidity with xxx" :D was awesome...

As for my name its a form of Necro which is what I've gone by on a couple of sites for a couple years. So I have since used Necrotic or Necroticas (Necro Erotica). Its probably my morbid fascination with death... I love gory movies and gory websites and frequent them often

Porcelain Crow? Sound like a 90's alt rock band. I like it.
I was neighbors with the last man to step foot on the moon, Eugene Cernan, so I've always been a space travel and exploration fanatic. 2001: A Space Odyssey is my favorite scifi movie so I use the protagonists name a lot for my online persona.

Despite the fact that I used my real name, I used it with purpose. Although I respect people's desire for anonymity, if I was going to purchase a product that was hand-crafted by someone, I would want to know his/her name.

So the whole Clark nickname came from "Clark Kent," I'm guessing?

More Clark Griswold than Clark Kent, truthfully. LMAO I'm a dork, not a superhero. A lovable dork, but a dork regardless. If you have some Xmas lights you need flubbed up - I'm your guy.

Nicknames are a big thing in Iowa where I grew up - everyone got one, and early. My dad is (also) Kent Brooks - I got dubbed Clark so he didn't think mom was yelling at him, I wager. In my teen years, part of the "fun" is being able to say "SUPERMAN, DUH" (while going full ......) when people inquire about the connection to the Super One. :) I lived in the same small Iowa town for the first 18 years of my life, graduated in a class of under 80 people, and am still "family close" with quite a few of my high school friends... they insist on continuing to spin a series of urban myths and legends about acts of stupidity I performed in my persistent but ever failing effort to live up to the "superhero" billing. Not sure if that makes any sense. Okay, some of the stories are true, but I am not going to say which ones... yet. LMAO
