I’ve been using the SXK Doggystyle (clone) since late 2017. I’ve been thinking about grabbing one of the top-fill “2k18” models but it’s 2 years old by now; I've been rather out of the loop since then though, is there anything new and sexy I should be looking at in the realm of MTL flavor chasers? It needs to be 22mm (original istick Pico), anything bigger won’t fit.

based on the stuff ive read on forums, i believe the precisio is an underrated tank and a good option.

atm, im looking into bp mods pioneer, yachtvape pandora and cthulhu artemis.

looks like the pioneer is awesome in flavor due to its small chamber, wicking may be tricky. the artemis claims its new dome shape chimney gives better flavor and throat hit, havent seen any reviews on this yet.

There is a whole bunch new MTL tanks who has got good reviews on different good solid youtube testers:
    Vandy Vape Berserker v2
    BP Mods Pioneer RTA
    Yachtvape Pandora
    Cthulhu Artemis RTA
    Suicide Mods Ether RTA
    Innokin Ares 2.
Unfortantly the Berserker 2 & Ether is 24mm so they wont fit for you.

I own Ares 2 and 3xEther, have already ordered the Pioneer and will later order Artemis, Pandora and Bpvape Precisio. Sometimes they dont produce good mtl tanks for long.

I'm an old sjmy 2k16 user. I only stopped when my squonking got out of control

However one or two RTAs have me partially back in the land of the tanks. The Dvarw DL RTA, DL FL RTA and the Juggerknot Mini RTAs.

So I'd really suggest looking at the Dvarw MTL FL RTA. It's still bottom fill, but as easy to wick as a doggy. And you can get a top-fill kit for it if you wish

    $21.31 Dvarw MTL FL Styled RTA Rebuildable Tank Atomizer - 2/3.5/5ml(22*19mm (OD*ID)) / w/ 10*air inserts / stainless steel + glass / 22mm diameter at FastTech - Free Shipping
Grab this, to get the spare tanks and all the airflow inserts

$23.50 SXK Dvarw MTL FL Styled RTA Rebuildable Tank Atomizer - 3.5ml (22*19mm (OD*ID)) / 316 stainless steel + glass / 22mm diameter at FastTech - Free Shipping
    SXK version

$12.90 SXK Tank Tube + Chimney + Top Cap Top Filling Kit - for Dvarw MTL FL 22mm styled RTA at FastTech - Free Shipping
    Top-fill tank kit

I'm still on the doggy 2k16, ive used many of these other tanks but still keep going back to the original doggy... One of its greatest assets is the fact that it IS bottom fill I feel- the reason it never leaks! Ive been meaning to spend a bit of time explaining my experiences with the doggy and how different coil sizes/ wick/ power affects the experience.. hopefully in the next few days..
To me its is close to the ideal MTL tank.. plastic tank that doesnt break easily/ very "forgiving" wicking/ compact/ Fantastic flavor... In my opinion its only downfall is the fact that the airflow ring doesnt have a stop on it! (be so much easier to refill)... I also think a thinner but longer air slot would make it a bit more "airflow friendly" (adjustable) for most of us mtl vapours. GEEZ its a wonderful tank as is though!

I'd just like to find one that doesn't leak. There was a top-airflow tank around (can't remember name) that got good reviews, but it disappeared. Leaks are the bane of my existence!

Edit: I believe it was the Geekvape Ammit RTA. Air flow was from the top of the tank, so no juice leaked out the air intake holes.

@bikerdave, the only top airflow RTA's that I'm aware of are the Geekvape Ammit MTL RTA and the Exvape Expromizer V4.

Out of the two though I'd give the edge to the Ammit as it's resistance is stable, unlike the Expromizer which fluctuates.

that is interesting, it thought maybe it is my mods fault that sometimes it is not registering the expromisers coil.

there's the reload, I've got a couple clones and they are not bad, never leak, but I mostly squonk now.
