dang, I used to use the what's new bar as a short cut to look up what's happening on my posts and the classies. now I get an activity stream. is this just a fluke?

Same here. The What's New dropdown button is broken, instead it is selecting Activity Stream (the button below it).
This is terrible! I used the "what's new" button exclusively to go straight to my posts and classifieds. Now I will have to wade through the mishmash of the entire forum's chatter. "Activity stream" works well with less populated forums where there isn't a lot of posts, but is worthless for navigation on this larger forum where the chances of getting to where you want to be is nil.

Needs sorting, the old way was the best, a drop down for New Posts, My Posts, Classifieds.
agreed... this is way less usable...i can understand ADDING things...but taking things away inherently leads to a decline in usability by the user
why do that? or at least let everyone know?

I'm also noticing I'm not getting email notifications on new posts in my threads. must be a fluke. and yes, my home page loads to my activity with anyone whose posted in any thread I've ever posted in. don't like it!
Agreed, damselle. It's way too creepy/stalkery for my tastes. I like forums because they're not facebook, this last move towards it just cost ECF my recurring subscription.
I'm going to close this. Please keep this in one thread. It's much easier to let them know what the issues are.
