What's so bad about cartridges?

I've seen lots of comments from those more experienced than I about how much cartridges suck, and on the poll in the polling section, cartridges seem to be the least popular method.

I use an eGo. I have never used cartomizers, but I drip when at my desk and use cartridges (with the blue foam mod) when dripping is inconvenient. To my mind, the methods are about equal in terms of flavor, TH, and vapor production.

What am I missing?

I still like cartomizers better than the cartridge. I use bogge LR cartos and they seal up nicely after filling for taking prefilled cartomizers with you on the go, plus it lasts longer than a cartridge.

If they would only figure out how to get the clear cartomizers to work well. I get soooooo much better flavor from the boge cartomizers.

Nothing. If it works for you, enjoy and don't pay too much attention to polls and such. You should be happy with your setup, and if you are, that's all that matters.

That said, there's nothing wrong with experimenting a bit. I like the 2.0Ω Boge cartos and the new eGo-t atties and tanks on my eGo/Riva batteries. Give them a try. It's easy enough to get a 5-pack of cartos or an eGo-t atty and some tanks. Be brave!

Good luck and let us know. Remember, what works for other people may not necessarily work for you.

if cartridges make you happy who cares about the polls, i personally stopped using them a few weeks after i started vaping because they weren't fullfilling my needs, i just fill up my cartos and keep it moving, because a lot of my flavors aren't atty friendly, i rather just toss out the cart than set 10 atties in an alcohol bath like i used to, but stick to what works for you

A cartridge with the right filler material, like blue foam, can almost equal dripping.
Certainly enough to satisfy a segment of the electronic cigarette world.

But I think there are a few other factors at play.

If you vape a lot, then the possibility of leaking with blue foam is greatly minimized.
If you vape infrequently, you might get leaking or flooding issues with blue foam though.

And personally, I don't want to mess with any cartridges because I find it to be a pain in the .... no matter the filler.
I like to drip, for a lot of reasons that may not apply to other vapers.

It would help if everyone remembers that their vaping habits are not always like everyone elses.
That, I guess, is what I'm trying to say.

I used them for a couple weeks, trying all the mods (PTB, blue foam, cutting down fluval, etc.) and never got the kind of vape I can get dripping, except the first few puffs after filling. Then they would leak in my pocket.

Dripping is great at home, but I use cartos on the go, and I'm usually on the go. Don't leak in the pocket, hold a lot of juice, and when they get nasty/gunked-up, I toss them because they're cheap, instead of trying to clean out attys. For $8-10 I get five fresh attys that are effectively 'disposable'. Helps with switching flavors, too, because a new atty is less than $2.00 with a carto.

I love the way cartomizers work, I agree they are good on the go, don't leak, and are cheap. But I don't know why but whenever I vape em I get a really bad head ache. I wish I didn't because they are really great, glad they are working for you.

An ego mega atty with a blue foam mod is a great vapor producer, nice to drip with also.

Don't limit your experience to just one method, each has good and bad points.
Packs of cartos and one or two attys are cheap enough to try 'em all, particularly with
a few good adapters.

I've tried many because the latest posts said the _____ was the best vape ever invented.
Went thru 510 standard, LR, ego mega atty and cartos, 901, 801, 306, 808, 401 and all
were a little different, found what I like. (the rest are backup now):)

Analogs are light it and done. My previous PV was a screw on pre-filled carto and auto battery. Simple. So with my new eGo I'm still wanting simple as possible, no fuss. I don't want to be tied to a bottle of liquid dripping it all the time, so carts and the new tank are my thing for now anyway. Vape for a long period of time without having to deal with the juice. And so far it's working well for me. It's all personal preference, I don't know that anyone can say this way is best or that way sucks, it's what works for your lifestyle and what keeps you satisfied and off the analogs and enjoying the experience.

I like cartomizers because its ok if they start to die off...they come in packs of 5, and they hold a decent amount of juice.
I like attys because I can try flavors without investing .8ml to 3ml of juice and dripping taste just fine.
I use to like atomizers more but its just a pain to clean them or have one break on you and not have another on hand, I normally just use them for at home. These Boge 2ohm cartos, though not quite as amazing as a cisco atty, are pretty darn good.
