What's the benefit of running subohm coils?

Sub ohm coils usually provide a warmer to hot vape. If you like a cool vape, you don't need to sub ohm. Sub ohm coils are also used for cloud chasing.

I can't recommend any clones as I don't use them, but a good cheap mechanical mod would be the magneto or the k100 or k101.

You need to know the amp limit of your batteries. As an example a vtc4 has a 30 amp limit. A fully charged one is about 4.2 volts. That means it is safe to around 0.15ohms which would require 28amps. Familiarize yourself with ohms law before you start building coils.

What advantage do you get when you start running sub ohms?

any advice on a good mechanical mod, possibly a clone so it's cheaper.

also how do I know what batteries to run to make sure I'm safe?

1. Cause you feel like bad .... when you blow the mighty cloud and your face disappears, and have ACDC's thunderstroke playing in background, jk

2. I would stick with mech that has lot of info and tips, etc like Nemesis, Stingray, SS M16, etc

3. That has to do with ohm's law, etc: and just buy Sony VCT4 or 5 whatever cheaper at time for a pair from legit vendor like RTD...one is switch out when you drain the other one:

Same as buying a motorbike instead of a car; get from here to there a whole lot cheaper, but you better be ready for it; not everybody can ride a motorbike..... safely

an hcigar nemesis clone is a great starting point, its a little more expensive than other clones, however... i tell you from experience the hcigar nemesis is really nice... i enjoy it... then you have a variety of options... if you havent really played with rebuilding much, and are looking to get into it... find an igo-w it should have holes in the posts, and will allow you to build anything from a single to a quad... might need to add some airholes/increase airholes... but igos are relatively cheap and easy to build on...

i really like my omega, however it is a bit of a pain to build on... id say it eats an extra couple of minutes of my time working on getting it set up right... it can be frustrating at times... but that is not here or there... for getting started... snag an igo-w or something similar... most rdas are fundamentally the same... some are better/nicer/better performance than others but overall the differences are small...

I think the best part is how fast it wears down your batteries

idk, i tend to not need to swap my batteries as frequently with my sub build on a nemmy or reo, compared to how frequently i would have to swap batts on my svd... higher mah lower amp batts on the svd too...

i think it might have to do with a more satisfying vape and not needing to vape as much... hmmm

Can some one recommend me a great mech mod and good rda to do some cloud chasing? (I have an trident clone) maybe that is sufficient enough

If it's any help I had 3 Trident clones. They're terrific. Now down to 2. Gave 1 away. I cannot recommend any mech clones--don't have one.

I like a warm vape with short pulls. my .6 braided and .5 twisted 28ga give me that.

as far device

clone mod- sentinel m16 and astro clone are my favorites
RDA- grand vapor trident clone
Batteries- sony vtc 4 30A

also will need a multimeter to check your builds resistant and make sure there isnt a short.

but you can get a good vape off a regulated device as well. I made a 1.5ohm twisted 32ga coil and at 6v it hit about the same as the mech.

What about a resistance device made for coils? I'd imagine that would work as well?

That's what I want, to be able to take 2 seconds hits and still blow out massive clouds with a good flavor

On my sigelli I have to take about 4-5 second drags and I'm still not blowing the clouds I'd like to be

You're not losing any power in the electronics than on an apv like the svd; the loss would be like maybe 10 or 20%.
On the mech, you also use less power per vape and the battery deteriorates, while on the apv svd the regulation keeps drawing the same power per vape so you'll end up with less vapes before the battery runs down.

I rip 2 sec hits on my mech with a super nano single build @ 0.3Ω, cloud my whole room, can't see the keyboard
