Hi,

My wife and I started vaping about 4 months ago. We got an inexpensive starter kit with vision spinner, CE4 tank, and charger. We've already had to buy about 8 CE4/5 atomizers and have had problems with all of them. Only two work now. But then they only cost $3 at my our ecig shop. I know opinions differ, but which is the best tank to buy that will last for some time and that the coil can be easily replaced (cost around $10-12.)? I'm not interested in mods and giant tanks, not yet anyway :). Also, where can I get really reliable batteries at reasonable cost.

Thanks and happy vapin',

I started with the EVOD a month ago and am still happy using it. I had one bad atomizer, which I considered a learning experience. I got a ProTank 2 Mini because I wanted a glass tank, several additional EVOD clearomizers and a bunch of atomizer repalcements. I have had no problems and been able to learn how the whole thing works. I consider the ProTank a finicky PITA, but I don't dislike it. I would not buy another at this point, because I find the EVODs just easier, and I would wait until you are comfortable with your other gear before playing with the Protank. Others seem to love them and they are fine if you want a glass tank. I am not a hobbyist at this point, so I don't particularly want to play around with stuff

i recently picked up a Pro Tank 2. I have several clearomizers (one top coil, the rest are bottom coil EVOD's, which I love). I use the Pro Tank around the house, just because I don't want to break it carrying it around. I like that it has more capacity and a glass tube (while I don't currently use any liquids that are known to cause problems with plastic, i don't know what I may want to try in the future). I also like the ease of cleaning the Pro Tank 2; it totally disassembles so I can soak it for awhile then clean with soaping water. Easy to change the coil and using the same coils as my EVOD's. Locally it is a little more money then you listed (I think I paid $19 at a local B&M, but I prefer to deal with local stores when I can).

Good luck with whatever you choose and happy vaping!

The Aspire BDC line of changeable atomizers are some of the best in their class. They are probably the next best thing to an rba. Also, you might want to check out the carto tank options, like ibtanked, or something like that. There are those that say they vape quite great. Can neither confirm nor deny such claims, because my Vape took a different path. I'm an rba all the way kind of vaper, tanked rba's.

Quality vape gear is always worth the investment.

Vape long and Prosper!!!

I myself like the aspire bdc as well, have a ce4 and 2 aspires. I don't find the replacement atomizers too expensive at $18 for 5 at my local shop. Am 2 weeks in and am on my second atomizer as I burnt the first one doing a dry burn but have dry burnt my second one successfully. Am moving up to a nautilus next week though.

I started on CE4s, tried CE5s but couldn't get on with them. Last week I bought two Protanks II, one full size and one mini. The VERY next day, I dropped my mini and broke it. Not a happy bunny!!!

I have a very, very, bad habit of dropping my ECs. I have since bought a stack of CE4s. I'm seriously considering going back to them. I may only use my Protank II around the home. CE4s tend to stand up to the occasional fall.

Got to say my all time fav is the Kanger pro tank 2 with aero flow valve added. Like this set up better than that aerotank. Coils online real cheap SmartVapes 5pack $3.99 can't go wrong at that price no need to think of fooling around with rebuilding just not worth it in my book. I have never had a leak from my pro tank 2 built like a tank and the glass really does hold up I take mine everywhere I go and parts are available same site for penny's on the dollar went ahead and orders some spare just in case good luck on whatever you choose

I got CE4s with my kit and have since ordered several more. I like them they are cheap enough you can actually just toss them. I did however buy 2 aspire BDC and am falling more and more in love with them. the glass tanks are amazing since the plastic ones cant handle certain flavors. I got my BDCs from completevape.com for under 10 bucks a piece. Good price for a great tank.

I started with the ce4, March 24th. been rotating between two of them, they can be cleaned too, I pop the silicone out with a bent paper clip and soak them in vodka :), (on an ego twist), I did try the ce5, (burnt the coil out on that one) I did buy a mini protank 2 for the glass tank for my cinna-bomb juice (yup dropped it and broke the glass two days of using...lol) got the replacement yesterday. I now switch out between the vivi nova and PT2, and the Ce4's on the itaste mvp 2.0

Now to answer your question on what tank? well I actually prefer the top coil feeders (ce4, vivi nova) on my ego battery, the pt2 seems to much of an airy draw for me on ego's, how ever more tighter of a draw on the mvp.

So I would say you need to experiment to see what you like better.

The Protanks Are Really Easy. The Protank Minis And Aerotanks Are Nice Too. I've Went All Glass After Cracking A Few Of The Plastic Tanks. The Coil Packs Are Convenient, But You Can Build Micro Coils For Them Really Easily As Well.
The Aspire Nautilus Is Nice As Well, But They’re Fairly Bulky And A Little High…But They Have Adjustable Airflow If Draw Has Been An Issue.
What Kind Of Batteries Are You Looking For?

The tanks I like aren't talked about much, but I like them a lot. They are the Smok Tech Pyrex Aro. They work well, hold quite a bit of juice, are inexpensive, and so are the coils for them. Since they are glass you can use any juice in them without cracking. Here is a link:

I love my protank 2 (no mini for me, I like the capacity of the larger size). As for durability, I have dropped it multiple times with no damage occurring.

Cartomizer tanks are not a bad option, but realize that they are designed to be more short lived, use and toss so to speak. They aren't as hard to load/prime as I've heard. And on the one I use (as backup, secondary flavor to my protank 2) replacing the carto is easy, just slide out old, slide new one into tank, prime by dripping juice into carto, and refill tank.

Is it my imagination, or does the replacement coil look an awful lot like the Kanger EVOD coils?
