What's the best way to convert a SS collector tank to brass

What I thought of till now:

1- Plating: I think it's expensive, any ideas on the price?
2- gluing a brass sheet
3- Painting: Too much work to get it to stick in a nice way

Any ideas?

Plating aal. Easy, inexpensive, quick, nice result, doesnt increase width of the tube. But you have to know that every palting surface will be ruined soon or later

Thanks IMEO, I know it will wear off eventually. Can the SS be restored without replating once it is plated with brass, or the ss finish should be ruined before plating? Sorry I am newbie in these things

plating will be done on a shined surface, so SS will be restored very easy aal. Also you will not be able to restore the threads. But threads are not visible, so you dont care much about it

if you are going through the plating path i suggest you to use gold, not brass.
there's no huge difference in price (it's a few microns thin layer) and it's easier to keep it shiny.
The gold plating is also harder to wear off.

Thanks Mata, well i have brass GGTS but only connector and collector tank are SS, so to have a uniform look i was thinking to plate it brass. With the gold i will have a difference in color between the plated items and the brass items. I will see what i can do. I am now looking at the brush electroplating stuff since I don't want to plate the inside of the CT or connector. I will check the difference in prices.
