whats the different MAHS ratings on 18650 Mean?

whats the differents mahs means on 18650 batteries..? I just bought a variable volt and have to get 18650 battery...when I go over to this site I want to buy them from they have all different mahs ratings on there batteries..does the mahs matter? Is the mahs giving the battery more power....I understand it has to be a LI-Ion battery and protected it's just the different mahs screwing me up. Thank you

Mah means Miliamp hours. Usually the bigger the number the longer it will last you. example: 2000Mah will last longer than 1600Mah, ect...

Understand though there are quality differences between brands of batteries. 100 mah= 1 hr normal vaping before recharge is needed.
In terms of performance:
Ultrafire- worst
Trustfire
Aw
Panasonic
I own Ultrafires, Trustfires, AW and Panasonics- my Trustfire 2400 mah performance drops off a cliff after 12? hrs whereas the Panasonics far outlast them- good to the last drop.
Realize also depending on your PV some need "flat top" batts while others use "button top" batts.

how long will a battery normally last you on average? depending on the mahs I see now.....and vaping all day...I'm aware to purchase a couple. But how long will one usually last you?

MAH stand for miliamp-hour- it is the capacity of the battery. 18650 come in basically two flavors: ICR and IMR. ICR batteries need protection and generally have a higher capacity than IMR. IMR batteries use a different (safer) chemistry than ICR and do not need protection circuits. IMR's are also capable of higher discharge currents and are preferred in VV mods that use only one battery. Make sure you get the right battery from one of the vendors listed on ECF to avoid getting a counterfeit battery.

As others have said, mAh is milliampere-hours. It is a measure of capacity. Mathematically, A 2000mAh battery is rated to last 1 hour at a continuous 2000mA (2 amp) discharge. However, choosing a battery for you new VV mod is kinda like dating your ex-wife's sister......it's complicated. Someone could get lost in the confusion of protected vs IMR, C ratings, button or flat top, discharge characteristics, what is a cheap battery and what is a quality battery, ect...

Probably best to tell us what mod you have and then we can recommend a good battery for that device.

just picked up and L-rider variable volt...from free-cigs.com did'nt get the battery to it because I was going to purchase the charger and batts somewhere else...and when I went over to the battery's they have all different mah's ratings
