This one I just built 26g parallel 5 wraps on a 3mm pin.

What about BOB

Wondering how hard others have pushed their Reos, personally I haven't gone below .5ohms with any of my builds on my Grand but I bet there are some out there that have gone lower.

I have an RM4, a Cyclone with AFC, and a Zenith with BF pin (an Odin on order as well). Never thought I'd say it but getting interested in moving down to the .2-.3ohm range and not sure if I should even try with my Grand. Have several other mech mods as well an iPV2 and a Duke so can use those instead if that would be better.

Let me know your thoughts and, if you are vaping below .5ohms on your Reo, would love to hear how you set up your builds and what toppers you are using.
My friend that owns Origin Vapes, built my Tugboat / Anarchist at .5ohms. I am definitely going to go up; this is too low for me.

I'm brand new to the REO and to dual coil builds. I've spent the past two year rebuilding Kangers @ 1.8 and using a Vamo.

I'm currently using my new LP Grand with a dual coil setup in my RM 4 at 0.8ohm with a Samsung INR-25 battery. (2 freaking years it took me to get here!!)

I almost feel that I just started vaping when comparing my current setup to what I had been using.

I'm thinking of getting an Igo w-bf to see how it compares to the RM4. I'm sure I'll head down to the .5 ohm range just to see what it's like.

Ok..I am still battery confused.. One of you says get 1600 aw batteries, the other says get samsung 25R, which are 2500 mah.I assume these are all button top you speak of?
The ones I have been using are AW button top 2000 mah on my Reos, but I haven't tried any sub-ohm coils on my rm2, and still have not built my attys like the Odin.
And can I ask,what would you recommend for my hana, which takes a flat top battery? I have two sony vtc5 batteries, and two that were bought after you couldn't find them that I am suspicious of, that I have not used. I am running a magma on it with an 0.8 ohm build. I would like to get some more batteries for it, but not sure what to get.{edited the ohms:blush:}

I'm guessing that ".08 ohm build" is a typo and should read "0.8 ohm build"?

Just want to get that confirmed first before everyone climbs out of bed in the morning and starts freaking out ;)
Yes, sorry. I am blonde, not fully awake and in a dark room. Mostly the hair..yeah that's it..

The AW IMR button top 2000 mAh batteries work fine in a Reo, just keep your coil builds above 0.6 ohms and you will be in safe territory, no problem at all. People suggest the AW IMR button top 1600mAh because they allow coil builds lower than 0.6 ohms, and also are reported to last a bit longer between charges.

Some Reo owners prefer button tops because it makes the fire button throw shorter, and feel better because of that. Reo's were designed for AW IMR button tops and they are the recommended battery by Rob, you can't go wrong with them. But it is common for people to use other batteries also, usually for lower ohm coil builds or longer lasting between charges.

Thanks for the explanation. It seems odd that a 1600 mah battery lasts longer than a 2000 mah battery, when the build is lower. Kind of seems backwards, but again I guess I am not understanding something.

Good question. It is odd, but there is a reason. The 1600 mAh battery has a slightly different internal build or chemistry which is capable of higher discharge current, the trade-off for the higher discharge capability is less overall mAh, so its more like a sprinter than a long-distance runner. Now, as explained by Filthy-Beast in other threads, the 1600 mAh battery holds its charge above 3.7V longer than a 2000 mAh battery, for the same load, therefore it will last a bit longer in a Reo, because we usually change out our batteries around or before 3.7V. If we changed out our batteries at 2.5V, then the 2000 mAh battery would last longer, but by 2.5V the vapor would be so weak as to be almost non-existent.

The difference is not that great, so if you already have 2000 mAh batteries I would simply use them and give it no further thought :) until it comes time to replace them. Also the 1600 mAh batteries are a bit cheaper.

I'm using 5 wrap 28g duals in two different Odins at .42 ohms, and .6 ohms in an RM2, can't remember the wire size, prolly 28, that coil has been in it for awhile with daily use, and .56 in a Divo I'm trying out. I have only used VTC5's. I have a few other batteries, including AW 2000's that I had before going into the subohm basement. One time I mis-wrapped and got one at .23. Hit it once, and that was enough. Out it came and rebuilt. Way too rough a hit.

This chart shows volts on the side and length of time across the bottom. The 1600 holds a higher voltage than the 2000. So from 4.2 down to 3.7 the 1600 will last longer and will be providing more voltage to the coil. So you get a stronger hit, longer. You can see where the 1600 drops off quickly after 3.4 volts and the 2000 last much longer before dropping off. But we only care about the chart from 3.7 and above.

Red is the 1600

Use 1600 in Reos and 2000s in flashlites.

OK, just tore out a dual 24ga 7wraps at .22 from an Odin. Was a bit too harsh for me. Went to a dual 24ga 9wraps which brought it to .44 but it FOR EVER to heat up which was strange. Tore that out and now running dual 28ga 7wraps at .64. Taste is better than good but not out of this world, cooler than I would like.

Still lookin for the perfect build on this, going to try twisted duals next I think.
