.22 ohm, hottest coil I've have on the REO so far. Double parallel, 24g wrapped around a 5/64 bit, 4 wraps. It spits fire!!

OK, just tore out a dual 24ga 7wraps at .22 from an Odin. Was a bit too harsh for me. Went to a dual 24ga 9wraps which brought it to .44 but it FOR EVER to heat up which was strange. Tore that out and now running dual 28ga 7wraps at .64. Taste is better than good but not out of this world, cooler than I would like.

Still lookin for the perfect build on this, going to try twisted duals next I think.

Twist 28ga together, excellent coils to be had with this. I also twisted 28 and 24 together at one point, worked like a charm

I have been running a .21 ohm dual parallel sleeper build with 28ga in an Odin on my grand for the past three days. Not a fan of the battery life, but the Vape is stellar. I did have the same build with 29ga in there at .35ohms, and was really pleased with that and curiosity got me to try the 28ga... Diggin it. The 28ga coil I have in it now has a little tighter coils and slightly shorter legs - was just easier to work with than the 29ga. I haven't experienced any adversity from the grand due to the build yet, but I'm monitoring it. This will be my ohms limit though, unless I put in a fuse mod.

Ok so who said to go to Lightning vapes?
I purchased 4 X 18650 25R samsung batteries & received the green fake sony batteries....I am not happy.:(
I have ordered 6 of the Samsung batteries and got what I ordered, sounds like they messed up on their end. They sent fake sonys? I've never ordered sonys from them.

there are 2 in each box, in smaller boxes

All Sony VTC's come with that cheesy sticker out of a label maker on them...that doesn't mean they're fake...the Sony's were never meant to be retailed as singles, they're jobber pack batteries (i.e. series/paralleled multiple batts 3rd parties use to make laptop/power tool battery packs) that have simply been labeled and sold as singles...this is why you almost never see them as button tops (can you even get VTC's in button top?)

Having said that, the ones in your pics look like they may be fakes, I have a lot of VTC 4's and 5's...it may just be the lighting but typically the skin is a little more translucent and the indent ring around the pos. end seems a little too pronounced...but that's just from your pics, there's every possibility I'm wrong.

So now the thought is to use the Samsung batteries since Sonys can't be found? I just placed an order for a few of the new AW IMR 18650 2200mah and will see how those work, had my eye on the XTars which are said to be the VTC4s inside but I know they are a bit longer and hadn't read any reviews of them. Wasn't sure how they'd fit in a Grand.

Moved most of my builds back up to around .35ohms due to battery life and to cool the vape down just a bit. The .22 build I had in the Odin was a real lung cooker...lol.

0.3Ω seems to be my regular dual coil build ADV.

Orbtronic SX30s are rebadged VTC4's with a button top. The new Xtars are the same and they fit in grands ok. I'm only few cycles into using the Xtars, having got them last week, but i've been running Orbies for ages now.

I only use 30A batteries, and seeing the coils i make - it's easy to see why. I have some Samsungs 25R's and MNKE's, but they are flat-tops and hard to get hold of.
I got the Xtars from batteryjunction for about $20 for 2 - shipped.

When i first started vaping i used some EH and Efest batteries, but i was only needing 10A from them at most.

All my 30A batteries seem to be around the 2100mAh capacity mark, so i dunno! I like my VTCs (even if they are rebadged). If you only ever make 1Ω coils, huge discharge levels for batteries are overkill for you. I gave all my 20A batteries to HRH who only vapes with 1.5Ω coils.

Cloud chasing nerd!!! I have build a 0.0001 ohm coil and vaped it with 2 18350 stacked on my reo. It was a delightful vape.

Just kidding Robbel you keep chasing those clouds my friend.

Wondering how hard others have pushed their Reos, personally I haven't gone below .5ohms with any of my builds on my Grand but I bet there are some out there that have gone lower.

I have an RM4, a Cyclone with AFC, and a Zenith with BF pin (an Odin on order as well). Never thought I'd say it but getting interested in moving down to the .2-.3ohm range and not sure if I should even try with my Grand. Have several other mech mods as well an iPV2 and a Duke so can use those instead if that would be better.

Let me know your thoughts and, if you are vaping below .5ohms on your Reo, would love to hear how you set up your builds and what toppers you are using.

Thought about that, I have a pair of Orbronic SX22s that have been sitting for months waiting for my Duke to come back from the spa. Maybe I should just repurpose them to the Reos.
