Hey!

So I currently live in California, and I've noticed a bill on the governor's desk on raising the smoking age to 21. Even some cities in SoCal are banning vaping in public. Although, I'm moving to Texas in July, the San Antonio region. I was wondering if anyone has seen laws regulating vaping in Texas or the San Antonio area? I've checked the legislation forum and can't see anything about Texas, but I'd like to be aware of any unseen or unheard laws that aren't there.

Thanks! (Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, I'm new)

I live here in Texas and I am not aware of any state laws regarding vaping, except the normal over18 stuff. Some cities, namely Austin have some regulations about vaping in public areas. Individual businesses can dictate whether one can vape there. I'm out in the country between San Antonio and Houston, so I might not have restrictions that others may have. It's certainly no California, for sure.

It is good. Besides a few areas that are off limits for vaping, and of course, the prohibition of sale to minors, there's really not much else. Most vapers usually don't vape inside of a business out of courtesy to others, and some businesses don't allow it anyway, which is their prerogative.

So far, I haven't had to sign anything. But tonight, I had to upload a picture of my ID for a juice order, for the first time. And just yesterday, I ordered nic. So I guess eventually, all online vendors will require this. My only problem is, for people who live alone, who will be able to sign for them?

I get lots of vape mail and haven't had to sign for any of it, except a couple of times when I got an expensive mod and was sent insured.

I have not yet had to sign for an actual delivery. Honestly think the USPS may be refusing to be bothered with it. I've done a few online verifications. But a $6 surcharge? No no no no...ain't happenin as long as Fasttech will keep shipping to me.

No surcharges here either. But if I remember correctly, that is one of the new rules. It stinks, but people in other states have it a lot worse.

I order lots of vapemail. I haven't paid a "Texas surcharge" on anything. Not sure what that's about. I would change sites.

I'm sad to hear about the TX mail restrictions.

AZ still seems pretty free. No special requirements or state restrictions that I'm aware of, (apart from paying state sales tax when ordering from MBV). I don't vape in enclosed public places anyway, though, except vape shops. It's just common courtesy.

I assure that I haven't paid one either. As soon as I saw it at checkout I seemed to lose any interest in the purchase.

Edit: Nor have I ever actually been required to sign for delivery. It's always been taken care of through online verification. This is a rather large vendor and I suspect they have decent legal assistance advising them that signature on delivery is the SAFE way for them to handle the TX situation. And they ain't gonna eat the cost.
