Never paid surcharge or signed for anything ordered within or without Texas.
As for San Antonio local regs, they're fairly conservative. I worked and stayed down there a few years ago, stopped off at a Dennys for supper. Nearly swallowed my teeth when the hostess asked me "smoking or non"

Our Denny's had a smoking section until a year ago. Then they started no smoking after 9Am on weekends before going all non smoking. I can finally eat there without gagging on the smell of cigarettesNever paid surcharge or signed for anything ordered within or without Texas.

It used to be we only ate where smoking was allowed
I'm not particularly pleased with the removal of smoking sections in restaurants. I may be an ex-smoker, but I'll never be an anti-smoker.
You cannot pee in public either, sir. I got a 300 dollar ticket for "urinating in public" when I was 19. Apparently ...... behind a dumpster and with a fence to your other side is a "no no" lol. I was intoxicated and extremely unlucky that an off duty cop happened to be around trying to break up a party that I was not even at.

Its alot more sanitary than just pissing in the street. Smh.
It must depend on the vendor. Two different orders from same vendor located in OK and I had to sign for both USPS shipped.
If the surcharge was a one-time thing to register as an adult, then i'd consider it, but it's just a tax and it's a tax that hurts American jobs.

Ha. I used to work in downtown Houston and while visiting a friend on the 1st floor of the building that was all mirrored glass. We were sitting at her desk when a guy walked up to the glass, looked all around to make sure no one was looking and took a Wiz right there. We started laughing and knocking on the glass. He ran off fast with his wanger flapping in the breeze
There are some places in Texas where you can still vape or even smoke analogs in public, enclosed spaces. In Richardson, Texas, which is a Dallas suburg, there is a sports bar called Fox and Hound. I went there with friends once and tons of people were smoking analogs. I was so happy to be able to pull out my vape and enjoy myself vaping at the table instead of out on the patio or worse, standing on the sidewalk. I think the indoor vaping/smoking laws must vary by city because of this.
I once had a guy pissing behind the dumpster at my shop when I said what the hell are you doing he told me to F Off so he got sprayed with Fire Extinguisher sized pepper spray. We were all laughing our asses off as he ran away screaming with his pecker hanging out!

I live in Arkansas and bet the horses with an online account. Yet, the legislators in Texas who voice support for less government intrusion see fit to ban ADW (online) betting to save you from uncontrollable evil urges.
Wagering is legal at the federal level, completely. The only other states besides TX that don't allow it are Mississippi, Georgia, Arizona, Alaska, North Carolina, South Carolina and Utah. So it is local government intrusion, not federal, that disallows these um......sinful behaviors.

Lucky Texans because when I was still a smoker I almost got a ticket in NYC because I was standing outside smoking under an awning. But now since I am an X-Smoker honestly I do not think I would want someone smoking while I was eating a meal. I am trying my damnedest to not be one of the X Smokers who we all hated as smokers!
Yes. There are a few Fox & Hounds around Dallas but I've only been to the ones in Richardson and Carrollton. I have to go out to the patio to vape at the Carrollton, but am free to vape indoors at the one in Richardson.

Texas is well known for being pro business, so I am hoping the vape apocalypse will be rather toothless here.
