Texas
You never know what Texas is going to do.

I live in Arkansas and bet the horses with an online account. Yet, the legislators in Texas who voice support for less government intrusion see fit to ban ADW (online) betting to save you from uncontrollable evil urges. :)

Wagering is legal at the federal level, completely. The only other states besides TX that don't allow it are Mississippi, Georgia, Arizona, Alaska, North Carolina, South Carolina and Utah. So it is local government intrusion, not federal, that disallows these um......sinful behaviors. :)
Arkansas has the Internet now?!?!
You are right, Texas legislature loves to regulate. Fortunately it's a big state and local "custom" usually presides. Houston (politically speaking) is nothing like Austin or El Paso.

I live in San Antonio and have no issues vaping Most businesses have lax vaping policies and the ones that don't permit it have an additional sign specifically prohibiting e cigs in addition to smoking. But I know that at least this city won't really do much as far as regulation until the federal government does something.

People in several Blue States are walking around vaping .... whatever......totally legally. And more to come. Nobody is going to hassle them about using a vaporizer. Calif, Mass, Maine, Vermont, Nevada will probably be next. (Can't figure out why people on this forum keep telling people that Red is where its at.) If you live in the South, and in a Red state, expect to wait a lifetime

Yeah I was carded for some beer the other day and I'm 38. I definitely take it as a compliment these days. :D
I remember those days, now I'm on the other end, I got breakfast at mickey d the other day and the price didn't seem right when I picked it up the drink was kinda small and I questioned it, the young lady at the counter told me they'd given me the senior special. I informed her that I wasn't quite a senior yet and if I'd just wanted a taste I'd have asked for one.
