The irony, in my office, is the girls will sort of pretend to cough when they catch a small whiff of my fruit flavoured liquids. They then will proceed to drown themselves in floral perfumes that permeate the office.

Just like most of your stories, my worst came from a smoker. I was outside a friend's house while his friend was having a smoke break and I was vaping as usual. My friends friend then proceeded to tell me that vaping was far worse than smoking, then I tried to tell him that it is far better and tried to explain to him reasons why. But he kept going on about all the main things you hear from the media like there's antifreeze in it and there's chemicals in there that cause cancer. And I tried explaining that we vapers know it isn't totally harm free, but that it is a lot safer than smoking. But he didn't listen while he sat there and smoked 2 cigarettes before we went back inside. Oh well...I tried to help him by trying to get him to vape.
lol you should do the same when they spray their perfumes. I bet what ever is in it is far more toxic than what your vaping.
Absolutely! Fragrances have been known to contain up to 3000 or more chemicals including, but not limited to, Parabens, Diethyl Phthalates, and Synthetic Musk Keytones. Hidden behind their pleasant scents these chemicals have been linked to hormone disruption, reproductive problems, and even cancer.

She took 5 steps back and said, ow don't blow all that smoke at me, I have a bad chest and you shouldn't be doing that when you have children in the house. I can't repeat what I said to her but I don't think she'll be coming round anytime soon.

Speculation: The smoking-anti-vaper still hasn't come to the decision to quit or plans to smoke for life. This is either a desperate attempt to continue justifying their habit, or a perceived slight against them.
In either case, I'm of the mind to shrug it off and leave it be. Just like quitting, you can't change a mind that isn't ready to change. Addiction doesn't lend well to logic or reason. I like to think they'll come around eventually.

When I first started vaping I was working and we had a little area outside that we had to go to. I would still go out there. There was 2 women out there that constantly complained about my vaping smell! Who cares that a cloud of cigarette smoke and ash was hovering everywhere. They would carry on about my banana creme vape! LOL I didn't care. I just told them it was a lot better smelling then what they were putting out!
I had someone tell me vaping made me look exactly like David Beckham. That made me so mad. I hate soccer.
I also had the experience of having someone tell me vaping is worse than smoking.... I then asked him what part of vaping is more dangerous than ciggies... he couldnt come up with a reply...
What a silly statement that was, smoking, kills people every day, hell it even kills people that don't smoke.. Ignorance is bliss I guess for some
I think we are going to hear a lot more of comments like the OP got than we have already heard. In the June issue of National Geographic they are focusing on the medical use of something that can't be named here and there is a full page photo of a person at a "vape" convention using it for just that.
Myself though have only had one borderline comment to the effect that "I had no idea what's in them", but by the time the conversation was over I proved unequivocally that I knew exactly what was in "it".

Also if one battery has exploded, the news is like " they explode all the time, in your face" when the reality it was 1 guys ecigg who blow up during charging.

Outside of the above I got the usual questions about gear and juice cost and flavors. A recent outing returned comments that my exhale was 'slightly sweet' (I'll have to remember to have folks smell my hands) and given the up coming 'fire season', vaping ought to be much safer.

- "so your still addicted, admit it!"
- "are you planning on reducing your nic level?"
- "you have no idea what goes into that 'juice' your using, it could be dangerous!"

But ye i've to admit that i'm kinda one of them.
Never recmommend a mech for a newbie without knowing their batteries and ohms law.
Altho i've never ever said it's gonna blow in your face.But yea, as mentioned our media is all over it. if 1 EGO failed 2012 it will be huuuuuuuuge news 2015 and it'll blow all faces off... Such a sad reality.
