The irony, in my office, is the girls will sort of pretend to cough when they catch a small whiff of my fruit flavoured liquids. They then will proceed to drown themselves in floral perfumes that permeate the office.
tell 'em to cough that stuff up and get outta here..I'm trying to enjoy my vape!! *lol*

I think the ones that "got me" with a sigh and damn, were the "that's antifreeze yah know!?!" :-x
those seem to have died down. Most are ecouraging " that's great!" (when I say it's vaping, I quit smoking):thumb:

I haven't gotten the "you know those are worse than cigarettes" from anyone amazingly! lol, the worst experience I had (which really wasn't bad at all) was from a girl I was traveling with (1 out of 8-9 people in the group). Every time I tried to take some puffs while walking, she always told me that my vapor was drifting right towards her. I'm not sure how true this statement was, but I was happy to be considerate for her because she was one of the vocalists in our group. What got me though was that she joined in with the group when we decided to go to a hookah bar and smoke. She didn't take any drags on it, but I don't get how anyone could not be bothered by the fumes that quicklight coals give off. Hell, I can't smoke hookah at all anymore lol. vaping killed it for me.

So yeah, that is literally the only time I had to take some .... for my habit. Really nothing that ticked me off.

Ah i see ^^
But ye i've to admit that i'm kinda one of them.
Never recmommend a mech for a newbie without knowing their batteries and ohms law. :) Altho i've never ever said it's gonna blow in your face.
But yea, as mentioned our media is all over it. if 1 EGO failed 2012 it will be huuuuuuuuge news 2015 and it'll blow all faces off... Such a sad reality.
Yes

Battery safety is important.

Hence why I never suggest egos.

I'd rather a newb use a mech and good batteries. Add a kick if necessary.

Though, a mech isn't exactly starter gear for everybody.

I'm also apart of this school of thought. I know many people who break every mod they own. A standard 510 threaded mech mod with two good batteries can keep someone happy for a long time. Regardless, I still think a nice, thorough, chat is in order for any person interested in buying a mech mod. That way when they see what many people do with them, they will have easy access to sources (like steam engine) to keep them safe!

And a tester.

They can figure out the resistance of their build through steam engine, but they'll need the tester for shorts.

First time I've encountered any negativity to vaping was this past weekend. We were sitting around the campfire in the backyard and the neighbours who both smoke saw me vaping. They both asked me why in the world I'd ever inhale antifreeze. I just smiled and said because it was a really long harsh winter last year and I wanted to be prepared for this year lol. The looks on their faces was priceless. Then I told them the difference and eventually they both even wanted to try my vape. They couldn't believe how smooth is was and how good it tasted compared to their cigarettes. Before they left I jokingly said to them, I guess now you guys will be ready for winter too ;)

CONFESSION TIME: about three years ago when my adult son had the audacity to order an ecig from British Columbia, I scowled, shook my head and said "oh my God you don't know what are in those things" he received the set up and until the cartridges wore out he swore up hill and down that the vape worked a hundred times better than patches - he offered me a puff, I declined convinced there was that other product in his ecig

deepest apologies son your mother was a dufus. mid January of this year I gave him my evod

Like many in this forums and other where someone just wont give up...
Mrs Busybody: You know those are worse than cigs right, you need to stop!
Me: Did you do your own research or are you puking up the garbage that Big Tobacco companies are paying the Media to tell you?
Mrs Busybody: I saw it on CNN, they also said that the batteries explode!
Me: (I had watched the CNN episode the day before) Those two people were using the batteries incorrectly. Do you know how many energizers blow up daily?
Mrs Busybody: It produces Formaldehyde!
Me: It produces less than the sheet of dryer sheets that I am positive you have in in your home!
Mrs Busybody: You don't know what is in the liquid that you are puffing on!
Me: I make my own juice and I know precisely what is in the juice.
Mrs Busybody: Well it stinks! (she had just sprayed it on herself, enough to make a troop of Navy Seals Cry)
Me: Almost as bad as your perfume, which by the way has components such as DEP and Ambergris. Her husband laughed at that and told her that some perfumes use whale bile as a bonding agent.
Mr Busybody: (after his wife stomped away) keep up the good work man!

Now... I wish I could have an argument and win like that with my wife....

I don't bite when I hear these kind of comments any more. I'm just too tired to constantly justify my life style choices. I just ask them if they vape? If they say no, I generally respond by saying then you have nothing to worry about and leave it at that. Life is too short.

Antagonism never changes anyone's mind. In fact it just makes them more adamant to prove you wrong.

Most people want to know what it is where do I buy it and etc
My husband is a huge supporter [emoji175] he quit cold turkey 5 years ago... I'm so proud of him and this is before I knew about vaping. Had we known he would've been fun to Vape with lol
But generally everyone is nice.
NJ cigs are pricey so many people ask if it's cheaper and I tell them yes but as anything if u shop a lot it can be expensive but if you keep it simple as cigarettes one brand ... Vape and that's it yes much cheaper.

Anyways 1 year vaping
