Nice post on Broadway, a2d. I don't imagine it ever stays on top more than a few seconds, but at least it's staying on the first page of posts. After paying more attention to the traffic up there, poor Alex may never find it. I hope it will give others who are struggling some info to consider. While it lasts, that is :).

I just gotta say again how much I do NOT like the Oden's Kanel snus. It's not the 17mg per portion that bothers me. It's the smell and taste. It smells for all the world like dead fish that sat on the dock a week or two. It tastes ... gag-me awful.

This is probably the first tin I will not finish and will throw away. I've made it through some awful stuff, but nothing this disgusting.

Also agree on "full flavor" Discreet. Yuck. Double yuck. And the same goes for "regular" flavored Stonewall or Ariva. Ugh. Awful. Java? Heavenly.

I went through two tins of Mocca Machiato, however, and didn't care for it all that much. I wanted chocolate/coffee and got neither from it. When I want coffee, I want espresso. When I want chocolate, I want 70% Cacao dark chocolate. Do not mess around with wimpy flavors. Bring it on.

Too much to ask.

Offroad's Coffee/Vanilla was a snus I used for months, but it never cut it either. No one has a good coffee flavor. And what a shame. It would sell like crazy. So many Swedish snus can only be called an "acquired taste". I don't want to acquire a taste. I want something that satisfies my existing taste.

Evening all!

Hmmm, TB doesn't like it either eh? Not looking good for the Full Flavor. Probably isn't going to be a keeper... I'll still try it.

Headache is gone... Jalapeño sauce (on top of my Omelet) will always clear my sinus quicker than anything, and it is tasty!!

Hellen's Dumb Snus Question #1: Why is Swedish snus so salty?!!

Right now:
Skruf Cranberry (hmm, very salty... little cranberry flavor. Buzzed my inner lip. Will be a back up can in the fridge I think. Won't order again. :()

Guess I'm Dumb too Helen...I don't know either.TB is right...that full flavor is nasty...I threw mine out! Helen back to the sinuses for a second. Some folks who use the neti pots use a drop or two of ceyanne extract with the saline mix with great results...I just can't see running liquid fire like that through my nostrals!....Glad you are feeling better!!:)The Wiz!

F&T Granit in the lip, topdeck finally!
Beginning to wonder if the mouth would ever heal.

My son brought a bottle of Absinthe home today. Proper spoon for the sugar so we all tried it. did the whole ritual with lighting the sugar and all and took a sip.

Anybody here ever use the Vicks44 cough drops?
The Absinthe tasted exactly like those nasty black cough drops. eecchhh

The Toque Absinthe snuff is a pleasure for the nose, but the drink I had tonight will haunt my dreams...

I wish I knew too. I guess there is a good reason for it. I find the General whites are less salty than most. I guess there is also a good reason why there are so many Wintergreen flavored snuses too. I really like the mint flavors but Thunder only makes it in the mini and the same with the General. They may be covering up something.

Doing a General White Wintergreen now. Just finished playing, nothing like shooting up some bad guys in Call OF Duty to take the edge off of a day. You can pretend the bad guys are anyone you want to. Rat a tat a tat qa tat, that'll teach you to fool with me you Lib))))) S)B.

:()[/SIZE]

You'll get used to the salt after a few weeks. It just kind of fads to the background and other flavors become more noticeable. Nearly everyone complains about the salt in the beginning, and nearly everyone stops complaining in short time. From what I can find the salt is used as a flavor enhancer and preservative. It also very likely helps keep the PH at a high level for better adsorption of nicotine.

The Swedes may be starting to target the North American and western European taste. Lab 01 and 02 are a definite departure from the traditional tasting snus. It's mild, never gets bitter, and is just a nice non-offensive snus I can do all day. Hopefully we'll see more like it in the future.

Remember, snus is from the land that has given us Luke-fish. A truly unique dinning experience that, as far as I know, is only found in Wisconsin and Minnesota outside of Sweden (large Swedish populations). And then only on.... special occasions. :confused:If you've ever had it you'll have some idea of Swedish taste.

Gotlandsnus Julesnus white at the moment. It's growing on me. Enough that I might buy another can... next Christmas.
