Away..
Home. One of those nice vacations and nice to come home.
There isn't a good bypass or any exit where we were. Almost liked they planned it that way. No exits for 30mi? and another highway ramps into it. So...major tie up all the time.
Weekends are just worse.

Need to run out and pickup the German Shepard from boarding and get the cats tomorrow from the vet. Vans unloaded, water and heat pump(air) back on..........

Chillin with:
Camel frost
Ozona Presidential
tobacco vape
Pepsi

V, glad you made it back ok. I just got back from shopping with my youngest daughter. She wants to do a craft project which required a trip to Lowes for supplies.

Tattooer, sorry you aren't feeling well.

Well, had to stop for another motel night. Got held up 2hrs on the interstate and its storms everywhere. Not like we have a defined schedule.

More time for travel snusing, snuffing , vaping & rebuilding/modding.

Vacation is rough on a person.

Nice followup on the Marlboro. Maybe by the time we need it they will get it right. lol

V, we can only hope, but they have a lot of time based on my freezer. Yesterday was my first five portion day. The Marlboro just didn't cut it in my normal routine. Something is just missing.

Good morning everyone. I think I remember TV saying before that the Marlboro was a little light in the nic department. I only ever tried the camel before switching to swedish. Roth, if I had a five portion day then that would be considered a light day for me. I probably should try to cut down a little. Or not. Who knows. For me the combination of snus, snuff, and vape that it takes to satisfy my cravings changes almost daily. It gets a little frustrating sometimes but what is the option? Go back to smoking full time? I don't think I could ever go back to that and look at myself in the mirror.

    Away..
    Morning all.
Ah the grass needs cut and its gonna need raked...again......sigh. I'm going to Lowes and get a yard sweeper. I usually have to do it 2x a yr, but this is ridiculous. We're doing 6 acres worth every other week with all this rain. It'll be cheaper than gas. I'll put an arm on it so it just sweeps the decks exhaust path. I can dump it on the creek bank for the rabbits and squirrel to make homes. This is a condo and high rise apt year! lol

hitt, my kids always told me at 9pm on the night before they needed it. I don't miss that.
I'd just do what it takes and not worry abt how much I was doing. You're ahead of the game not smoking. Just go for content level plain and simple. No 2 of us will use the same amount. Remember, different kits for different people.

roth, I do abt 3 a day. Strong the 1st one and it stays in abt 4hrs, then #2 is debatable and #3 can be anything. Doesn't mean it works for everyone though. Even Camel Frost works for my 3rd one of the day. It's available just down the road now at a gas station so that extended my freezer supply a good bit. I had bought out what they had and asked if they would get more. They did!

jojo, thanks, it was a nice vacation. Yes you can freeze them till you need them.

tatooer, hope you get to feeling better.

I have a little taxidermy work to do too. Son and daughters boyfriend caught 5 1' Tiger sharks. 2 get preserved in large jars in liquid, 2 will get stripped for a skeleton and skin mount on a stained board, Urethane sealed. The 2 small ones are the test subjects.
We have sharkcicles right now. lol Youngest daughter is 28 and her boyfriend went with us.

Hello jojo and V. Jojo, I haven't seen much of you around here lately. You have probably been busy getting things in order again since your break in.

V, taxidermy huh? Is there anything that you don't do? I have a customer thru my work named Billy Goat Industries that makes yard vacuums. The ones I have seen look like a push mower with a big catcher bag. You probably need a pull behind if you have that much land to do. The project my daughter wanted to do was just for fun. She loves to do crafts and make things and she got some new craft books from the library and decided she wanted to make an automatic cat waterer. She says she wants to be a vet or a zoo keeper but I could definitely see her doing well in an engineering career.

hitt, I didn't grow up "well to do". So, we learned how to fix/modify/redesign most things ourselves, teaching & helping each other. If we needed a tool, we borrowed it. If no one had it, we bought that one, and others would borrow it from then on when they needed it. That worked out very well. I was fortunate enough to be one of those people that the sciences, chemistry, electronics, math ect....all came easy and now have 25+ yrs of micro RC modeling, graduated from DeVry in 1973. So that's been a long time of stuff to collect and "practice" it, gaining the tools over the yrs. Now if you ask me if its a preposition or conjunction......huh??????? Dumb as a rock. lol

The net makes it so easy now. You just do a quick search and the instructions/materials are there and many times a vid on youtube.

I won't let my son kill anything he won't eat unless its a varmint, groundhog or such, doing damage. We cook the meat, clean and salt treat the hide. We clean and dry the skeletons too. We have curved needles made from ribs....things like that. The unusable parts go in or to the creek bank for fish/wild animal food. Nothing goes to waste. I'm not a hard core survivalist/environmentalist or anything like that. I just hate to waste and its fun to make things from it especially when I have all the tools already here.
My kids have always enjoyed doing it and showing their friends.
My wife drew the line at picking up roadkill.

In the early 1900's , ladies "powder puffs" were made from mice hides. lol
They are very soft after treated. The salt shrinks the skin so the hair follicle can't come out and when it dries its very brittle. You just rinse the excess salt away, let it dry again, tap it out on a board with a small leather hammer, and you have a chamois cloth with very soft fur on one side. The kids have made small pouch bags, stitched them together to make many things.

Ok, everyone can quit yawning now............

No yawning here V. That's interesting to me. I didn't grow up "well to do" either. As a matter of fact it was quite the opposite. I vowed at a young age that my children would not "need" for anything. They might "want" which is normal but there will not any needs that are not fulfilled while I have a breath left in me. I am not wealthy but we are what I would call comfortable. I try not to spoil my daughters but every once in a while is ok. I have luckily been able to keep that promise to myself so far and hope to as long as I can.

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't been on here in a while. I've actually quit all forms of tobacco and nicotine in its entirety. It's actually funny because I actually went a few days without using any and didn't think anything of it then it just dawned on me that I hadn't had any in a while and I wanted some, but then I thought well, if I can go this long, what's another couple days, and I decided to quit. It's been over 2 weeks now, and while sometimes I do crave some snus/snuff when I get stressed out at work, I keep thinking about the positive side of it and just not having to constantly rely on something else to make me feel sane. I'll probably check in on here every now and then, but I don't want to spend too much time reading here cause I might want some :)

So I'll see you all later. Thanks for everything.

    morning Hit.............quick question.
I have bout 30 rolls of mini mints - I can freeze them right?

Looks like your question was missed. I'd suggest freezing one and sending the rest to me. Seriously, just freeze em. I had to allot a good section of my freezer to packages pre-pact. I'm a snus survivorist now. I definitely have enough to get me to winter solstice 2012, after that we'll see if it matters.

Now if I could just stock up on some of that stuff I took when I was young and dumb.....:vapor:

Greetings from St. Louis, gang. Looks like a busy day around here. Just getting settled in to the hotel and heading out to find some grub. Hopefully I'll find some nice vape-friendly establishments while I'm here. It's still amazing to check into a smoke free hotel and not be annoyed. I guess it's the small things that make a difference.:)

Actually Vaporer did answer that earlier today so that's why I didn't reply.

Hello Kis. Good for you if you can survive with no tobacco. You are probably right about us being a bad influence.

I tried my first stonewall today. I like the java flavor. I was surprised at the nic hit I got from it. I use some stark and extra stark portions but this seemed like it hit faster than snus. I can understand why some people cut them in half.

I was thinking earlier today about how many people we don't see on here any more. There's TV, OTD, Dredbull, Dgriego, Freya, Brewster, and I haven't seen sunset for a while. Where is everyone?

    Away..
    Hi all.
Kis, if you can make it T Free go for it. If you fall we will be here. I understand the temptation factor of hanging around. I think I could make it without now if I had too. Stress would be my nemesis. It all seems alot abt enjoying myself with flavors more than actual need. Listening all the time would be a temptation for me.

tattooer, the Sting of the Bee is a good one for sure. One of those snuffs that you can do all the time. Even over doing it tastes sweet down the throat.
Summer with the outdoor activities does slow a forum down.

Didn't mean to step on your reply hitt. Just answering a friends question. Wanting and needing are 2 diff things. I promised myself that my kids would have better than I did. But, then again, its what made me. Don't grow up like me! lol
