Afternoon all :). W, I had my head stuck up my storage spot beside your hubby's. Sorry about that, I was thinking of the scooters all the DUI convicts ride after they lose their license. If you say bike I'll assume it's a motorcycle, if you say ride I'll assume riding a motorcycle, if you say scooter I'll assume you mean motorcycle. I really need pictures or drawings .

Happy to hear about your hair. All my life I've only known you as a blond and if you change it now I just don't know how I'd handle it .

hova......OUCH!!! I don't know what you did, but be careful that portion doesn't slide up and fall out our ear....

Not letting fellow employees annoy me with:

:)

TV, you livin in the back woods? My Yamaha Majesty scoot will do close to 100, though 80 has been my top end (don't want to get forced to one of those t handled ones mentioned)

Mine is a 400cc but they make 500 and 650's and I've heard talk of 800's and 900's coming.

He popped in for a little bit after I mailed him a letter some time ago but he didn't stay long. I don't have his email or I would see how he's doing. OTD has been taking a break for a while.

TV my old friend, its been ages and so much has happened to me since we last typed... I never did give up vaping, but its such a pita that it will always be just an diversion for me, SNUS is the ticket, and if I dont relapse now I never will

Hey Brewster, good to see you! Sorry to hear about your situation. I think it's safe to say you've got friends here if you need anything! :)

I'm new to snus and it happened quite by accident. I forgot my PV at home when I left for work last friday so I picked up a can of snus at a cigar shop in the area. I was amazed at how well it worked. When I began to read up on snus, I noticed that some people who were vaping exclusively were experiencing anxiety. I started having pretty bad anxiety about 2 months after quitting cigarettes and I never really thought of the connection. I have been using one to two portions of snus per day for the last week and my anxiety has pretty much disappeared.

Welcome, Hendry (and all the other new faces)! Snus is definitely the king at killing cravings in my world. Glad you found something that works for you too. Gen. Wintergreen gets a black eye from some of the old hands around here, but I love the stuff. ;)

Been a rough week. I feel like everyone is just being extra crabby for no apparent reason. Boss needs mental meds, boss's son needs to quit self medicating with whatever he is apparently on. Hubby needs to remove head from ......ah well. I'm pretty proud of myself for not even feeling a particular urge to go back to analogs.

Sounds like we work at the same place, Axl. Thankfully, my boss was on the road this week, so I've had time to cool off a bit. I'm always amazed at the number of "leaders" out there who don't know jack squat about leadership and dealing with people.

Good Morning everyone. I got a few pages behind and had to catch up this morning.

I didn't get a chance to check in yesterday... and geez, I'm 4-5 pages behind on my favorite thread. I guess we can stop complaining about the summer slow down around here! :D

Lots of things on the agenda today, but most of them involve housework... hoping to talk some of my cronies into going to the casino for dinner and a few hands of blackjack this evening, though, so Saturday might not be a total wash!

Good morning. Allco you are right. It has gotten much busier here. I was starting to get tired of talking to myself. I have to go to my brother in law's b-day party later and then we might go meet a friend that is in town for the weekend. He is going to watch another friend play in a band at a local bar. I haven't been to a bar in a long time. I have quit drinking for the most part. I drank rather heavily for a while and didn't like the direction it was headed. With my addictive personality I think I could have very easily ended up as an alcoholic. Now I might have one beer every few weeks and try to stay away from the hard stuff. I'm better off without it.

I like the general wintergreen too, but I can't do one every day because they give me sore gums.

Rough day here. My daughter has a fever of 103.7. It goes down with motrin but right up again when the motrin wears off. I wish I had just taken her in to 'convenient care' (not so convenient, you still have to wait forever) today cuz I'm on the verge of taking her in now and that would make for a LONG night! Being a parent is too hard.

Hang in there Axl. We've been thru the same type of illness with at least one of our daughters. I think they say if the fever doesn't break in 24 hours then see a doctor. Many clinics have urgent care on Sunday. High fevers are nothing to mess around with. I hope she is better soon.

if its over 103 or 104 , we take to the hospital.

Gives me sore gums too, I am only going to use it sparingly. The white portions in general seem to irritate my gums. I'm really liking Ettan Original Portion and General Original Portion.

I like a few of the white portions and sometimes will pour a little water over a portion before placing it. Maybe that would help. However if you have found others that you like better then I would just stick with those.

Camel frost was the first snus I ever tried and would agree that it would be considered a white(dry) portion. I actually liked the flaver of the camel but it just didn't deliver the nic and maoi's that I needed. To me the general mini and regular portion mint are not that far off from the camel frost. They just aren't really sweet like the camel was.

    Hey all,
I tried the camel too, before my Swedish snus order came, and honestly, I didn't mind it. I'm not sure how it would have worked for me in the long run because I stopped using it when I got the 'real' stuff. I would certainly go back to it if I needed to, I hope to never need to!
Another fun filled day watching my daughter be sick. My husband was totally against me taking her in today. He doesn't think she is that bad. Ya, I guess she WAS pretty perky for the entire 13 mintues he spent around her all weekend. I tried to keep her off fever reducers today so I could see where she was really at. Temp soared to over 104 so I gave the motrin, put her in a cool bath, and after had her lay on Titus's cooling packs (neat lil things that you put in the freezer or fridge for 20 min and then they maintain a temp of 59 degrees for the next two hours or so). Dr first thing tomorrow morning.

Hoping for a better tomorrow with

Thunder #5, which is growing on me

You did good Axl, hope she's doing better. How old is she?

When I was in basic training (just a few years after the stopped using muskets), I had a fever in that range. They first gave me about 32oz of ice water and had me down it. That didn't lower my temp so they put me in a freezing cold shower for ten inutes followed by another 32oz. The orderly they sent in to keep an eye on me during the shower had to build up my spirits. He told me "Be careful, people die in here".

I was coughing up blood for two weeks after I lowered my temperature three days later so they'd let me out of the hospital. One day more and they would have started my basic training all over again and that wasn't happening.

Fortunately kids handle fever much better than adults.

just to let you know , a lot of fathers dont want to hear hospital. if shes over 104 without meds , i would take her immediately. yhou run the risk of brain damage and death at 106. im a father , and i know that sometimes you think , bah its just a fever , but youre the mother. if she gets bad , handle it and make him understand.

and i might have to try some general. the camel is a little sweet to me , and the marlboro is a little too tobacco tasting , like chew...

Roth- Geez, were they trying to drown you?? That had to be terrible!

Dr. didn't run any tests (surprise surprise) but gave her a prescription for Zithromax, which has worked on her in the past. Said it was probably viral. Seems we pay alot for them to give out random medicines and vague guesses. The system is what it is, I guess. She is in good spirits today, but she is on motrin and Titus freezy packs to keep her temp down. LOOOOONG weekend. Oh, and my boss hung up on me last night when I called to give a heads up that I wouldn't be in today. Gotta love mondays.
