Snusing Minimint on occasional days. vaping is not particularly pleasant on a sore throat/sinus infection. With cigarettes I would have smoked a couple of packs and given myself a chest infection and big cough by now, but I might have got over the throat pain and the running nose sooner, mebbe.
I hate these viruses. Hope one day someone will indeed discover how to wipe them out.
And be allowed to do so.

best to all with colds and flu,

C.
C......You are sick again? Thought you just had the "sniffies"?..Hope you fell better :)...Maybe a pinch or two of Hedges L260 would do the trick!! Strongest menthol snuff out there!:)The Wiz!

Yea Wiz, sick again - story of my life this year...and I am totally fed up with it.
Menthol would prolly finish me off though - can't even stand menthol in medicines or mouthwashes!
Dunno how anyone can abide that stuff! Though my brother has always smoked menthol - weird ain't it?

Oh hurry up Spring! - can't wait for the sun to chase all this away!

:)

No heartburn here Wiz.
A sandwich made with a big thick slice of onion and mayo = free breathing.
The other spicy stuff just makes me feel good :D

Odd morning for me, but pleasant. No snus yet, just a little vape. Today has been all about the snuff.

A pot of coffee and just spacing out the window looking out over the neighborhood. Rotating between WoS Lemon Grove and Honey Bee.
There's stuff I should be doing but, one more cup and another pinch and then anuther and anuther and... won't be much accomplished today I fear :)

Posts really fly in here. I gotta back up to dipping the powdery snuff.

You know, that's what our grandmas did in the South. They'd get a six-inch-long hickory stick and whittle it down just right, wet it with saliva, dip it in a can of snuff, and then rest it in their mouth, between cheek and gum.

From there, the snuff's nicotine was absorbed by mucosal membranes, just as happens from our snus and dissolvable pellets.

I tried this and had a pretty negative reaction. Snuff is downright gritty if placed in the mouth -- and it sure smells better than it tastes. Don't know why grandma just didn't sniff it up her big nose ...

Course, she later "came a long way, baby" and now inhales Virginia Slim cigarettes.

Reading the history articles is exactly why I gave it a try T Bob. The Swisher Honey Bee was in no way gritty in the mouth, well a teeny bit perhaps.

Taste was like candy, nicotine hit was as fast if not faster then a smoke.

Kick to my stomach was just that. Felt like I'd been kicked.

Much easier up this old guys nose than under his tongue for sure :)

Wondering if using nasal snuff orally acts more like dip than snus. Perhaps swallowing the snuff laden saliva is causing stomach problems. Nasal snuff is not processed that same way as snus so there may be problems. I had the thought of wrapping some nasal snuff in a tea bag as I have done with loose snus, but on further thought, na.

Not really the experimental type. I'll leave that up to OTD and TB.

Started the day with Ettan white, and now working on 01.

Dry snuff = nose :D

Still no snus today, instead I'm enjoying the Toque Chocolate.

In my nose... ;)

Starting the evening off with a snus experiment.
I made a pouch with wet papertowel filled with fresh ground coffee bean and placed it on top of some Offroad Cranberry portions. Wrapped the can in saran and left it in the fridge.

After 2 days I had to try it out. Dusty coffee flavor at first but after the portion juiced up a bit, chocolate is what I'm tasting! Unexpected but OK :)

Rut row:D, since I have some cranberry portions coming any day, does this mean they aren't so good?

On the other hand, now I have a new recipe to keep in mind...I do like chocolate:lol:

I wasn't that impressed with the OR Cranberry but others swear by it. Different tastes is all. But getting a chocolate taste? Who'd a thunk it!

Mail got here, whooppie! Jonathon at ClubSnus had some expired product of which there were 10 cans Of General Wintergreen.

At $1 a can, I took the remaining 10 and I've got one going right now. May be past the "best by" date but it tastes just fine to me!
