whats up with the thundervolt?

So I was thinking about getting a lavatube and then I see this article saying it has been rebranded as the thundevolt. What's the deal people? Anyone have any info about this? Is it just a ripoff of the lavatube? A scam?

I am honestly interested in getting info on this but haven't seen much posted in the forums.

Can someone give me some solid information?

It's not a scam. It's the same mod it's just under a different name depending on where you buy it. Volcano calls it the LavaTube, some places in Canada call it the Knight Rider and over the pond I've seen it called Thundervolt and there may be other names as well. You're getting the same mod.

I am in ABSOLUTLY NO WAY AN EXPERT,

But I read somewhere that the "thundervolt" was a shorter, mini version of the lavatube, that is on pre-order right now.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, because again, I'm not sure. Just what I think I remember reading.

The Lavatube is called the Thundervolt by 2Smok in Portugal,yes they are selling a shorter version which they have named the Mini Thundervolt which I believe is 9.5cm Long and takes a shorter 18350 battery,They are taking pre -orders for Mid January !!

They all come from China. Companies here just order them with their own branding. You can order the same kit direct from the supplier for around $35.
