If you think that's hot try a Phidias! Fono is a true craftsman with the best wood mods-often imitated but never duplicated.:vapor::vapor::2cool:

The Phidias, the Ali'i, the Journeyman, and the REO are all often cited in the same thread, if not the same sentence, as being the best of the bottom feeders. But I am intrigued by what makes one stand out for some people over the others. Is it the design? The feed system? The vapor production/throat hit? From what I've read, all are about equal across the board.

Does anyone have all of these? If so, which one really does stand out among the others as The Best Bottom Fed Mod, and why? I suspect any such qualification would come down to splitting hairs.

for me i want a mod with long bat life easy adjust voltage juice delivery on demand the option to drip a dif flavor in the barrel of the atty when i want a little change of flavor. for me im thinking the very volt ALI-I is the one..... but i have only used one for a short time at a local meet. oh did i mention i NEED a perfect button. lol..... i only wish the ali-i had a top button. the perfect mod is still only in my dream. but ppl are closing in on it...lol....i like having contact and sight with the bottle. lets me know when its running low. and doesn't have another button to snag on stuff..

I have a REO Mini and recently ordered a REO Grand. They're built like tanks and are all mechanical. The button placement does not lend itself to accidental firings, and by turning the button 1/4 turn clockwise, you can lock it if desired. I've had the Mini for a while now and it has been my mainstay since I got it. It was my first extended foray into the world of atomizers - I had previously decided that dripping or fussing with cartridges wasn't my bag, so I was a confirmed cartomizer user. The REO made it possible for me to be able to enjoy atomizers. It's very easy to operate. The Grand will be my first 18650 experience - looking forward to the long battery life.

I also have a WetBox (KR8 model) that I've had since June. Quite a few folks had switch problems with them, and the switch has since been redesigned. Mine has been fine, ever since I learned how to keep it clean and leak-free. Its needle delivers juice up into the cartomizer and works perfectly for that application. Unlike the REO, it wouldn't likely survive being run over by my car, but it has been a good value for me.

I love the look of the wood feeders and appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into making them - maybe I'll get one someday for home use. I don't think I'd want to carry one around though.

Fono is producing a custom ordered Phidias for me ATM. I am super excited and can't wait to get my hands on it. New Reos aren't my style. R&R's were my second choice but I've seen pics on ECF of busted product (in fact, a new one was posted today) of Ali'is that took a tumble. Repairable but not something I'd want to go through. A Phidias straight from the master is my weapon of choice.

Gotta say Phidias. Its a beauty and the beast. Tough and beautiful. I carry it with me everywhere I go. plus there is like no resistance in this mod. it burns like a friggin stovepipe. makes any atty better and hotter. Have not gotten my Ali'i or grand yet but they would have to be out of this world to make me change from my phidias as my everyday vape. I dont really classify the REO in the same category as the ali'i or the phidias.I mean Robert's wood one yes, but these are machined by someone else and assembled by him. im sure the grand is far more durable as it is metal and of course there are no wires to short. All mechanical is a big plus but it's a semi mass produced mod and that lends itself to a different category. The ali'i is gorgeous but as we have seen has its weak spots as far as durability. my ali'i will be for home. My phidias n grand for on the go.

Oh my, I'm so bad at this kinda stuff as it's just not me, but I'm stoked with getting off analogs and well............ I love both my Phid's and my one Reo Mini. Both IMO are solid performers.
My Phid's are like the classic hand made wooden pipes of old. Fono, is quite the craftsman. Oh so nice and quite a conversation piece around the home front fire place. I enjoy the Phids so much as to have a third, Lacewood with Paduk inlays on the way.
The Mini, however, is like a mini tank that can not be destroyed. Rob, has progressed from crafting a very nice wood mod to an almost indestructible, simple but innovative and really nice, classy looking metal mod. I like it's dexterity and ruggedness so much that I have the Minis bigger clone, the Reo Grand, on the way this week for the dexterity and ruggedness's sake along with it's longer lasting vape results with 6 ml's and 18650. And that said, I see a Mini in the future for the wife.
One day, I hope to receive my, on order Ali'i to compare. I can only imagine I will have to call all three a draw with not one an absolute winner. That said, I will have to reserve that until I receive the Ali'i.

Edit: Oh, and BTW. I've not had even the slightest issue with either mod, but it appears both Fono and Rob go above and beyond to make everything right for any slight and rare issue that appear with their products.
