Thought it would be nice to get a consensus or barometer reading on the little doo-hickeys and contraptions people are using (if any) to auto juice their GGTS.

Tell me your favorite, and what you specifically like about it. Tell what you don't like (or think could be improved), and what else you've tried. Also mention what (if anything) you're planning on buying next.

Please list details about what you like or don't like about your current rig. ("It's awesome!" and "It sucks!" doesn't count.)

And try not to bash other people's choices. Or at least, be civil about it.....

Thanks

What I've Tried
-Torpedo Tank
-Map Tank
-iAtty
-AVS with 510 attys and cartos (SC LR and DC LR punched and non punched) 901 atty 808d cartos

Torpedo and Map tanks both worked well however leaked a little more then GG feeders although I think that is do to e2 carto designs. Also lowest ohm e2 carts I have found were 2.4 and they just don't produce enough vapor for me at 3.7v

iAtty is great but stock wick I got burns up really fast and Nextel XC wick I am having issues with ATM I finally modified my plastics and ceramic but now I can't seem to get the sizing burned off with my propane torch not sure why the sudden change. Also when working well iAtty produces the most dense flavorfull vapor so far (for me at least) but that could be partially due to being able to make 1.3 ohm coils

AVS is my favorite with any setup so far (less leaks more flexability) but my favorite AVS setup is with LR 901 attys. 808 Cartos work great but I havn't made a punch rig yet and just a little inconvienent to punch (yes I am lazy it isn't that hard but my atty works a little better) My 510 juice adjustment ring always seems to work itself all the way open so I have to keep flow controll all the way open and with attys I need some standard carto wadding in the mouthpiece to keep from constant mouthfulls of juice. Cartos don't require the wadding but attys just seem to have better flavor.
901 attys have great taste produce lots of vapor I rairly flood it and after vodka soak clean once a week is still going strong after 2 weeks (I use to burn through attys in about 5 days.)

I am excited to try the UFS next batch but for now I am happy with my AVS. I don't see any big reason to try carto tanks as my avs will accomodate most any carto I want to try and with my setup works about the same way so I don't think the result would be that different.

Hope this helps a little

Edited to add: In the interist of fairness on the 808 cartos I only had 1 box of 5 to test. They did work very well but the 901 Atty just seems t have a cleaner flavor. The cartos do come highly recommended though. Again this is JMHO and YRMV

I'm currently using the DCT MAP tank, using a 1.25 ohm dual carto at 3.7v.

What I like about it: a) Nice little consistent vape; b) low cost; c) easy to obtain replacement parts; d) no leaks*; e) simplicity-learning curve takes three draws; f) looks like Dr. Who's sonic screwdriver
What I'm less than wild about: a) limited variety (pretty much limited to DCT's at varying ohms); b) lack of adjustable draw; c) adapters needed for draw tip, doesn't sit flush with ggts; d) *refilling can be messy if you're not careful; e) punched DCT's cost twice as much, and f) no metal option for end caps as of ordering. Overall a nice little, simple intuitive vape with good features and a great price. Probably wouldn't think twice about getting anything else if Imeo didn't keep releasing new products.

Also used a AFSv2 with the earlier GGTS. Think it requires a older version or a stealth cap to really work, limited to 901's and KR808D's, had issues with 510 connection, and it was prone to leaking unless KR808D's were used.

Think I'll try for an iAtty for the next purchase/trade.

This just made my desire for an AVS go into full overdrive. I am going to count pennies and try and get an AVS/AFS/UFS as soon as I can...darn me being off work for 2 weeks!

I started with an iAtty before I got a GGTS, got the GGTS based off that experience and put the iAtty on it right away. Recently also got a UFS and have been playing with it.

iAtty is great, vapor is really big (expecially with the air control). It's downside is also it's strength, replacing the wick/coil. With the stock (original) wick it would get beat up too fast, replacing the wick (and or coil) every few days was a pain. With the X-116 wick I've been able to go 2-3 weeks with one, dry burn and got at least 2 more weeks before I decided to change. Not sure about the new stuff, but if it really is the same as the CE2 then it should work great.

UFS has been a learning experience, and still learning. Takes a bit to get used to it, but I think it will be really nice once I get it all down. Vapor (SR atty) isn't as good as on my iAtty, even though my iAtty has a higher ohm right now. Planning on trying both LR and DC in it later. Flavor on both UFS and iAtty have been great.

I've also used MAP tanks, but not on the GGTS. Those I was really happy with, except for two things. First it is a pain in the ... to replace the CE2, cutting it is easy but getting the old one out is not fun at all. Second one being the leaking, it would leak quite often if left on it's side with more than half a tank. I also had problems with the metal in the top cap (which holds the DT, but is really just a piece of the CE2 metal) sliding down (probably from dropping it), that was a pain to figure out how to fix.

I have the iAtty and UFS. I used the iAtty all the time when I first got it but the easiness of the UFS makes it my system of choice. I use LR510's at 3.7 and it works great, huge vapour and flavour. I am waiting until I get some more wick to experiment further with the iAtty. Before the GG I had a plain old Riva so I've gone from a beat up old car to a Ferrari in vaping terms. Not knocking the Riva, it did it's job but nothing can compare in my eyes to a GG with UFS.

Edit to say, I'm hoping to get the Stealth next and the one thing I would change with the UFS is the plastic window. I hear Imeo has a glass one done so I'll try to get one of them too.

Glass? I've never heard of a glass one

In the land of no hills and red dirt
Went to the first OKC vapers meet this afternoon. Got to see some cool stuff, meet people in the flesh from ECF. Care to guess what the show stopper was?

Also found a retiree who is making his own DCT MAP tank mods....but has the addition of a feeding hole and plug in the side. He's selling them for $12...think I'm going to have to get a couple.

Good time had by all, except I spent more money on some strongly flavored small batch juices than I had originally planned.

I don't think the guy there even had a name for it. He just got tired of him and his friends having the occasional small messes refilling tanks. But for $12, you can bet your sweet bippy I'm getting one!

And it was almost offputting about the attention the TS got. (Now Imeo, don't get in a snit; hear me out...) But people just nodded or looked at the collection of first prototypes, one offs and curiosities from my reviewing days, but got genuinely excited about a regular production run GGTS. (You would have thought I brought the Spear of Destiny into the Vatican, or Hitler's pistol to a gun show!)

It was a fun time.

I have only had the SS GGTS going on 2 weeks but in this very short time I started off using the AL Liqunator 3.0ml carto tank and It was great, but after a couple days with that setup i knew I had to have an Iatty. My first coil I made was at 1.7ohm and I vaped it at 3.7 volts and I loved it.(huge Vapor) My second coil I set up was an exact 3.0ohm and I have been using that since at 6.0 volts, for me its perfect for my vaping style.. I still love the Liqunator but Im only using them on my other 3.7v mods for the time being. I plan on getting a UFS the second they are available, or I hope I can snag one.. Well thats my story for now.Like I said its only been 2 weeks so I dont have much experiance as of yet but I will continue to experiment for a long time to come!!!!! Thanks to everyone for sharing thier stories as well, They are very helpful for the newer GG users!!!!!! Like me!!

I use my iatty and UFS daily. I find the iatty to be the better performer overall because of the customization allowed by making your own coils, but the UFS is very close behind.

The UFS runs my extremely thick juices which didn't perform the best in my iatty (although, I have yet to try said juice now that I've switched to the nextell wick). My current setup is Vaportstation Frisco VG in my UFS and Ikenvape's RY4 VG in my iatty, and it's pure bliss. Below is my opinion, this is based on my setup (juice, voltages, etc).

UFS Pros:

Looks better: although, the iatty w/ an 18350 and no top cap on the collector tank looks pretty diesel
Shorter profile
Great performance
Handles thicker juices the best
Able to use almost any commercially available carto or atomizer if you have the new top cap

Iatty Pros:

Ultimate in customization: use the wire and wick/mesh of your choosing, tons of options on how to implement them
Better piece of mind: you choose the components which you feel are safest, no worries of unkowns (toxic solder, mesh, etc)
Best Performance: I have yet to find a more satisfy vape than the sub-1.3ohm atties I have been creating with silver/kanthal/nextell
Less fiddling: just set it and forget it, my UFS needs more fiddling based on if the viscosity of my juice changes, level of the juice, position of the sun in the sky, etc.

Cool. Maybe I could meet you next weekend in Gainesville and buy you a cup of coffee while you show me some iatty tips and tricks?:headbang:

LOL Love that one, to me is true, ;)

What I've been doing is using it almost completely closed, then when flavor starts to go I close off the air and take a big drag. Basically giving it a minor flooding, but it works pretty well and less work than trying to find the right turn without over flooding it.
