Whats Your Favourite Ohm Number?

Some vape mail showed up this week and I have bin experimenting with different ohm coils trying to find my perfect number
I built a 1.6 micro coil in my new kayfun 3.1 Clone used 28 gague Kanthal and Organic cotton I have it on an Origin clone with a 30 amp sony battery I really like 1.6 so far but I think it could be a little lower
So i try a dual micro coil in my Aqua clone same 28 gague Kanthal and Organic cotton it meters out at .99 ohms I find it is a little to low the vapour is too hot and it makes me cough I,m going to find the sweet spot for me some were from .99 to 1.6 ohms
so i wanted to ask what ohm number works for you folks

I do a 6 or 7 wrap micro coil on a 5/64 drill bit with 30 awg kanthal. About 1.5-1.6 ohms. Use this in my igo-l and my kayfun.

Dual micro, also 28AWG but half your resistance @ 0.5ohm. So no help to you really! Don't force duals on yourself, some people just prefer single coils.

On the other hand, if you're doing duals for vapour, decrease your nic. That's what tons of people do.

I prefer 1.2 -1.3 Micro on the Reo with RM2, .5 Nano's on RDA's, (dualies) on the Nemmy , still figuring out the best for KFL+

1 Ohm on a Russian 91% (twisted 30g; 7 wraps; 1/6" ID; cotton)
1.2 on a KFL with the nano kit (twisted 30g; 10/11 wraps; 1/16" ID; cotton)
0.8 on a Fogger v2 (0.5mm ribbon; 4/5 wraps; 5/64" ID; cotton)
0.7 on a genesis-type-deal (wraps and gauge vary, but always ribbon and porous ceramic)

Liked around 2.4 ohm now really enjoying 1.8 ohms......Provari, Vamo, Zmax and SID.

Built a few coils last nite and are at 1.8 ohms for the Protank.

This morning re-built with cotton on the Aspire Nautilus and made a few at 2.0 ohms.

.7 to .9 ohms on genisis with mesh wicks
1.2 ohms on Kayfuns on Provari
.9 to 1.0 ohms on Taifun GT and Squape on mechanical mods.

it totally depends on what atty I'm building on, and what mod I intend to use it on.

If I'm building something that's going to get used on an 18350 mech, I have to take into account the more severe amp limitations of the smaller battery, and with a single coil of twisted 30g, 1 ohm is great. If I'm building a dual setup for an 18350 I'll use single strand 30g with 1.8ohm-2 ohm coils for a total resistance of .9-1 ohm.

I always run dual coils with my 18490 and 650 devices these days, and my sweet spot is around .4 -.5 total resistance, so a pair of .8 or 1 ohm coils (generally micro coils with 28g) is what I usually have built. I do have an IgoW built right now with a pair of twisted 30g .6ohm coils for a total resistance of .3 ohm, so I'm kind of all over the place with my resistance levels.

Short answer is I don't have a favorite resistance level, it varies depending on atty, mod, and mood.

.3 to .5 ohms on dual coil drippers.
.7 to .9 ohms on single coil drippers
.9 to 1.0 ohms on Kayfun & Sheroid

I prefer higher ohms like 2.0. They just seem to give me the right output, same goes for my roommates. I'm not into rebuilding yet so I don't understand the reasoning behind the lower ohms. It's all good. Happy Vaping!
