id tell her it would really be for her best intrest to just stay away from cigs.......

GOOD LUCK!

She's responsible for getting her Dad to quit. He went cold turkey and is about 4 months with urges still. I also had promised myself to never start and the I did. I also had promised myself to stop at age 25 lol then 30 lol then 35..well I am 50 now.

Good news bought first pv 10 days ago it arrived. I am smoke free since day one. I did try many things over the years nothing worked long term. The cold turkey was the best but only lasted 6 months for me. This PV has me knowing I never will smoke again. I plan on bringing this pv up to her dad. I know not to buy him one for xmas because it might make him go backwards. I do plan on letting him decide when I tell him about this pv.

My niece knows cigs are bad. LIKE we ALL did. Drinking and smoking leads many into this deadly expensive habit. I am giving her one. Maybe give her nic free and nic. Just wonder about batteries. Let's face it ..it has to work when that drinking occasion happens. Maybe disaposable..I think they are ready to go when you are? Dunno.

Well, Congrats on your success as well as everyone here. Happy Holidays.

Everyone in my family smoked. I tried a few occasionally with some friends in the back of my junior high. I didn't start an everyday habbit until I started hanging out in bars. Smoking gave me something to do while drinking.
And those ultra skinny Capris were so coool and feminine looking.

I was 14 and my dad's work took us to Sheffield England for a 2 year assignment. I was very stressed trying to fit in plus got a lot of flack for being an American in an area that was pretty anti-war (I was there from '86-'87 when we bombed Kadafi in Libya and there were tons of protests there). Some of my friends suggested a smoke to help calm me and it worked. My last smoke what when I took up vaping.

I'm 28 pushing 29 and started smoking around 15 maybe had a few ones from 13-14. One of the main reasons I started smoking was because everyone I knew did it and when i was a little kid my dad would lite up his smokes with a zippo and I just loved the smell.

I hope to get my starter kit today if not tomorrow, my plan is to just stop analogs all together.

First experiments in cigs were at around 16 i think. I had a friend whose Mom knew she smoked and bought them for her. I was only a "social smoker" for a long time. I never really bought my own just smoked one every now and then if someone had some. I didn't really get addicted to smoking til I was around 21 or 22 and got the bright idea to buy a pack of menthols just for the hell of it. I think I never got hooked before that because I hated the taste of reg cigs. That one pack of menthols was all it took for me, then I was between a pack to a pack and a half a day til I got my first e-cig last week. Haven't had one since.

I'm 19, almost 20. The first one I smoked was a Salem Black label when I was 13 maybe? Before that I had tried a Marlboro menthol when I was in 6th grade. I only started actually smoking after I was a sophmore in high school when I stopped bumming off my friends and bought a double pack of 27's.

I still smoke the occasional 27 just because I like the taste, but the more I vape, the worse it gets so I don't know how many more I'll smoke.

When I was 14 I was walking down our alley and found an almost full pack of Salem's so I wanted to know what it was all about. Well when I took a good hit.........WOW that's what:lol: I got a major buzzzzzz. I didn't like the menthol so I had to see if all cigs would have the same effect and at first Marlboro reds did,and my 35 year habit began8-o Now I'm free:D

Everyone in my family smoked and I started when I was 14 - at that time no one thought much about smoking, except legally you were supposed to be 16 to buy them. If you had a note from your parents they would sell them to you at any age.

So, I smoked for 49 yrs until 3 months ago when I started vaping. I still can't believe I've quit. And, I recently got my best friend, who I turned on to smoking when we were both 14, to start vaping. She's been smoke free for almost a month. I owed it to her.

My family didnt smoke except for one uncle I adored. He smoked chesterfields and lucky strikes. I loved the smell of the cigaratte as a youngster (age 4-6). Finally at age 12 he sent me to the gas station to pick him up a few packs (43 cents) and I pocketed a pack of Kool filter kings - menthol intrigued me. I smoked Kools until I was 19 then discovered "quality" cigarettes - Nat Sherman's etc. Havent smoked a menthol since. And smoked a pack a day until about age 23 when my first stressful job encouraged me to smoke up to 3+ packs a day. I had smoked at that level until August 2009 when I recieved my 510. I still have the occasional analog in special situations - after intimacy for example.

Well like many I have a parent (mom) who smokes. I actually grew up hating the things. Didn't try smoking until sophmore year of college, started smoking while drinking junior year, and during a stressful last semester of school started just flat out smoking. Quit for awhile after graduating except the occasional black and mild and ended up hanging out with this girl and started smoking regularly. And pretty much here we are.

Still never smoke much more then 5 or so cigs a day, then started law school and that sky rocketed. Stumbled upon PVs and ordered a 901 and it's got me down to 2 or 3 a day, some days not even that. And I tell you they start to taste more and more nasty. And the ejuice i got just tastes so good, lol.

Decided to try one of "dad's" cigs while home alone. I think I was 10. Didn't like it but it WAS a thrill to "sneak" one. When I was 13 I had a friend (same age) who smoked menthols. Her mom bought her cigs for her. She never asked if I wanted one but one day I asked HER to try one. Started smoking hers whenever we would hang out. By 15 I was a regular smoker (much easier to buy underage back then, remember the cigarette vending machines?!!!!!)

I was always around smokers, my whole family smoked but I didn't pay much attention to it. I was 11 years old when one of my cousins (she was 16 at the time) was smoking in my room. I was curious about it and asked her what it tasted like. She gave me a drag and I coughed up a lung. Then when I was 15 I started having friends in school and I socially smoked when I was around friends. When I was 18 that's when I fessed up to my mom and told her I smoked. That day we were smoking while talking about it. Now I use the e-cig but still can't completely quit analogs. At least I'm cutting down.

wow 12-13.... wow.

I smoked socially for a couple years and started about 1/2 a pack a day in May, graduated to 1 pack a day from june-august, september and october back to 1/2 a pack a day. November got my first PV and now I smoke an analog once a day, before bed

Both my parents smoked all of my childhood and I've witnessed them attempt to quit... many times, and fail to do so. My father always told me NEVER to try a cigarette, and surprisingly enough, I never did! I looked up to my father like he was a super hero so I did most of what he said. Although at parties I went to growing up, at prolly around 15yrs old, they had hookah. This was unknown to me and my friends and we tried it and LOVED the buzz and flavors. Eventually what turned into a once a week party attraction turned into a hang out attraction a few days a week. Then from there I joined the Army, I missed hookah and wanted it again, so when I got back home first thing I did (I had just turned 18) is buy my own hookah. Set it up in my parents house and told them its harmless and nonaddictive and smoked it all the time. Eventually I started smoking it every day and eventually moved up to more concentrated tobacco to give me a better buzz. And thats when I was hooked.

I now smoke for 2-4 hours EVERY night after work.
Although, just as I promised my dad, I have never tried a cigarette.
I just want to get off tobacco period, and I just bought my first VP and hopefully it will be here today, my very own chuck! :)

While growing up my dad smoked a pipe and my mom smoked cigs. I puffed a few cigs here and there in grade school and more so in junior and senior year of High school but did not really start smoking until college. At my worst I was at 2 packs a day before I quit and switched to ecigs I was smoking about 3/4 to a pack a day.

I still, on occasion, want one really bad but grab one of my pv's instead. Funny thing is that I can't stand tobacco flavored juice!
