So today as I was looking for some new flavors to try I was thinking of maybe lowering my nic levels from 18mg to 12mg, but I just got the jitters even thinking about it! I guess I'm not ready yet, but I really want to start thinking of a plan to lower the nic levels. Eventually I want to get to 0mg. I know I'm new at this 3 weeks of vaping 2 weeks off of analogs so I'm probably pushing myself to much.

When did you know you were ready for lower mg levels?

That seems like a good plan to have several levels to help ease me into lower levels! I do seem to be growing a collection of flavors to try! apparently I still have a nicotine addiction if I get jittery just thinking about lowering my levels, but I have to admit it is better than being agitated (once upon a time) knowing I only had a few smokes left and no way to get a store. So nice to not feel that anymore!

I'm a chain vapist... 13+ mls a day. I simply kept lowering my nic until I stopped breaking out in the dead sweats. :)

Went from 2 PAD Camel straights... to 36mg/ml to 8mg/ml in less than 2 months.

Oh My Gosh with some flavors I have I could really chain vape easily! They are so yummy. I don't miss tobacco flavors anymore! Never thought that would happen!

I've actually upped my nicotine in terms of vaping. I went from 10/11mg to 15-18mg which is what's most comfortable for me. The reasoning for this is because of throat hit. After a while the throat hit just fades away with 10/11mg (for me), so I gradually increased it to what I am getting the most results from.

To me it's not about removing nicotine altogether, it's about getting away and staying away from smoking analogs. I still use the 10/11mg on RBA's because at 18mg it about makes my head explode :), but 18mg on Protanks and Carto Tanks is what I generally stick with.

I don't have a plan or schedule. I occasionally order a bottle of juice that's the next step down and try it for a few days. If it works for me, I'll make my entire next order at that level; if not, I'll stay where I was and try again in a couple/few weeks. I'm not going to set a timetable on it - it happens when it happens. If it takes two years to get to 0mg and/or quit vaping, that's fine with me...if it never happens, that's perfectly fine too.

I've come down from 24mg to 12mg (with the occasional bottle at 6mg right now) within 3 months, just playing it by ear as to when to try the next step down. I'd rather vape 24mg for the rest of my life than go back to smoking!

And there, boys and ladies... is the heart of the matter.

Everybody who smoked started out thinking they wanted tobacco cigarette tasting vapor. Little did they know that most of them taste like burning gym socks filled with cat poop.
The tough guys... the guys that smoke non-filters since Kennedy was in office... the idea of vaping watermelon or chocolate mint, well, that just seemed so... not masculine. They too found out that tobacco juice is, no matter how you turn it into "fog"... not tobacco smoke.

I've got bottles of tobacco that sit in a drawer. On the desk and filling all my attys are the aforementioned - not masculine - juices along with their mates... raspberry, cool watermelon (can't get enough watermelon) absinthe (my ADV), coconut, and MBV "Hawk Sauce"... the "fruitiest" concoction of them all.

I have been off the stinkies for about 6 weeks. I have a healthy supply of 18 mg juice, so the last batch I ordered was 12 mg. I figured I could always keep a higher level around for tough days, but thought I'd give it a whirl and see how it goes. No real method to my madness, just seemed like a good idea at the time I placed my order. I would like to be at zero nic by my 1 year quit anniversary.

Take your time. You have not been vaping that long yet. I waited a few months and then reduced my nic level to zero over about 6 months. I could have gone faster but I was just happy not to be smoking I didn't want to mess myself up by going too fast. Been at zero now since the beginning of this year and I don't miss it.

You'll know when you're ready.

I lowered my nic the same way I got off analogs, I just decided.

I started vaping and was still smoking a few analogs, one day I just said ENOUGH! and stopped buying them.

Then I decided to lower my nic one step every 4 months. I've been vaping a year and am down to 9mg and next month I'm gonna go to 6mg.

I am used to a certain amount of *discomfort* as I was in sports and athletic early in life, and just worked thru it. I have fibro now and I just push thru the day with that, too.

I guess I'm not used to "that perfect feeling" or at least, don't expect it, so I just accept a certain amount of challenges and keep proving to myself that "I can do this!"

For whatever reason though, none of that worked on quitting analogs, before I found vaping. It was the ONE THING I could not seem to get a lasso around, or corral. I quit several times, once for 5 years, and went back. Smoking had me in a terrible psychological grip!

It's weird, most things in life are a body / mind thing, you need both sides to cooperate in the endeavor.

I think it's all going well now. But I do not think that I am invincible, I know I"m not. I do try to self hynotize a bit when I have to though.

I've gone from 18mg to 6mg in 6 months. I really had no intention of cutting back and bought a ton of 18mg juice. Then someone here mentioned lowering to 12mg in the evenings. So on my next order, I got 12mg juices. I gave away most of the 18mg juice that I didn't really like and used up the rest while using the 12mg juices at the same time. I did the same with my next order. I went with 6mg and started using it in the evenings. I just gave away a bunch of 12mg juice and all my tanks now have 6mg juice in them. I really haven't felt like I need more nicotine. YMMV.
