Always new products. Always something to learn. Always a newbie

This is so true. Every time I pop in to this forum I always learn something new.

I have recently just hopped on to the repairable atty bandwagon.. I am experimenting with different types of resistance wire, different wicks etc...

Slowly sneaks credit card out of sleeping fiance's wallet, orders Provari while examining his equipment. Puts credit card back. He'll wake up happy....due to the Provari purchase of course. :vapor:
It's funny but you will actually save money by buying a quality device like the Provari. I was 100% satisfied with it and made no other purchases for over 1 year and 1/2 until my Provari Version 1 couldn't accept the new 1.8Ohm low res Atomizers.
And the circuit board malfunctioned. Sometimes by spending more you are saving money and that's the case with a Provari.

I've been vaping since 2009 and the Provari was the first rock solid unit produced. I went through more than $1,000.00 of vaping devices until I came to the Provari. I would have saved $750.00 if I had bought one to begin with. They weren't available at the beginning.

The only unit under $100.00 that is VV that I've encountered that is superior (in many ways) to the Provari is the Smoktek Smokbox Varicool made in America. It doesn't have the bells and whistles of the Provari, but it's American Made and what it does it does really well.

Talk about learning.
I'm one of those people who have to investigate before they buy.

This year I began DIY and I had to learn all about how to do it formulas etc. Than I developed an allergy to PG and artificial ingredients. Took 3 months of perusing the forums to find the best source or organic flavorings and figure out how not to trigger the allergy.

When my Provari went on the Blink, I was forced to look for an economical device while in the shop.
I also wanted something smaller. I have probably looked at 500 threads searching for the best unit to buy. Crashed and burned on my first choice and returned it. Then success on the second.

Until I found the Vivi Nova it's been an ongoing process to find the best cartridge, Clearomizer, Tank Setup.
I won't even go through the amount I've spent on Cartomizers.

The Industry has changed so much and become so complex. So many choices in liquid, atomizer, cartomizer, vaping units.
It can be mind boggling.

I don't think I know everything I feel like I'm learning all the time lately.

Some things seem not to have changed in terms of Vaping Units, Chinese quality control is poor and it's hit or miss if you buy a unit under $100.00 made in China, Provari (Arguably) is the best bet for quality based on their track record and user reports.

There are thousands of forums online, but this one is comprised (mostly) of tens of thousands of people who spend years/decades killing themselves, now they don't. Everyone that has quit smoking is pretty darn happy about it!

Still, a n00b on ECF is different than on other forums.

You are no longer an ECF/vaping n00b when:

1. You realize that you *can* vape instead of smoke.
2. You no longer stealth vape, because you feel conspicuous (even in a smoking area).
3. You pity the smokers.
4. You can smell a smoker, as they walk by. Even when they are not smoking.
5. You no longer stress about whether your gear will make it through the day.
6. You no longer hide it from your family, you want to tell them.

You don't need dozens/hundreds of devices, though many do.
You don't need to be an electrical engineer, though many enjoy the technical aspect.
You don't need hundreds of DIY flavors, and a master chef on DIY> It's OK to buy what you like.

If you have quit smoking? Big congratulations, that can be one of the hardest things that humans can do! Vaping, ECF, and the rest of you/us are all a big part of it.

You are no longer a Newbie when you get a shipping confirmation from a vendor and instead of clicking on it. You copy and past it into Google or the browser bar.

Stamps.Com and I believe Endicia only update once a day. So for the latest news on your shipment just copy and paste into Google and they figure out if it's U.S Mail, Fed Ex, or UPS for you and the right link comes up to track your package.

Who said anyone was a noob?

A couple years ago (in the olden days) you may have had to rob tea bags to get a good vape. Today you can get a Great Vape with a Twist and a Mini Nova (or Vivi). That and a bottle of juice is all you need to know.

You may need to know ohms law if you own a ProVari, because it will tell you the ohms of your atty and you have to figure out what that means, but if you own an iTaste it will tell you what voltage to use.

To anyone, don't worry about being a noob. Don't think you have to know everything about vaping. You can have an intelligent conversation about Vaping by asking, " do you like your Vape?". "Yes!", well that's all that matters. Vaping is moving by leaps and bounds, that doesn't mean we have to leap too!

Find what works for you and enjoy it! Call me what you will, but I prefer my teabags in a cup of boiling water. Lol
