What is the deal with preheat? I use nautilus coils 1.8 ohm at 12 watts, would I get better ramp up using preheat?

If I have a High Mass Coil, such as a Multi Wire Clapton or whatever is Popular these days, then my Ramp-Up time at a given Wattage (say 40 Watts) might be Very Slow.

I may like the Hit I'm getting at 40 Watts once the Coil Ramps Up. But the Time to get there Drives Me Crazy. So I could use a Pre-Heat of say 70 Watts for 1 Second to reduce the Ramp-Up time.

(Note: I'm just Making all these wattage number up. But it gives you some idea of How one could use Pre-Heat to get around a Slow Ramp-Up.)

For someone like yourself using a 1.8 Ohm Coil at 12 Watts, you probably would see Little or No Benefit to using a Pre-Heat. Because your Ramp-Up speed is probably pretty Fast.

But, like with All things e-Cigarette, you might try some Pre-Heat Watts/Times to see if you like the Hit you get Better.

That's why I vape at 8w, instant heat baby!

Low watt vaping extends battery life, slows juice consumption, and replicates the MTL experience of smoking a cigarette. What more could you want? I'm between 8w and 12w depending on the juice and the condition of my coil.
