My mother drug the family to my first real concert...the Beatles...and my father couldn't believe he was honestly enjoying himself! Oh, and does it count that I saw Buddy Holly, even if I was VERY young at the time and almost fell asleep? I think I saw every tour that Pink Floyd ever made and they were impressive! I once ran into some little bar to get out of the rain and there was KANSAS before they were "discovered." Wow! What a show! I remember the GD playing their version of "Not Fade Away" at one of their last concerts before Garcia died and I would almost be willing to bet they are STILL lost in the lyrics of that song...it wouldn't end...I love that song but there has to be an ending somewhere, right? I could go on all night about the music in my life so I guess I had a rather misdirected youth...an impetuous one, to be sure
