Remember back when the standard phrase on here was "just get an eGo"? A year or so ago I loaned out my last eGo batt and just now got it back..(she didn't use it and still smokes) I charged it, filled a "resurrector" up with some juice and thought I would go back to "Old times". I remember back when I first got it, I thought it was sooo huge! Maybe the vape isn't quite as good as the setups I now have but I got to say.. it still vapes pretty good! :D

Does anyone remember back when other mods were regulars on here? Remember the Old Goat bottom feeder? It was my first bottom feeder and I still have it. It's white and the pink led inside lights up the whole box! So cool! I'll never sell it.

What about the Sgt Army tank? This was/is a VV box style bottom feeder that had quite a cult following over in the Suppliers forum. It was my first VV device. Nope.. not gonna sell this one either. Both of these homemade devices were made by great guys and I'm honored to have one. I don't think they're even made any more.

I never had one, but I never see anyone talking about the Buzz Pro, or the Infinity anymore.

Anyone got any "retro" pictures of their devices and do you still use them?

Good thread, makes you realize how vaping has evolved. I dont have any pics, but most of my older equipment went to my mom. She still uses the egos. I have a bunch of G.S batts I came across in a junk draw. By the way, love the avatar. My fourth is in the mail, supposed to get it today. Im like a kid Christmas morning, waiting patiently to open up my new toy!

Here's a pic of some of my Volt X2s. I still have them and they still work. They were all I used for months and months last year

These are pictures of my two Chucks, and the Bartleby that I bought before picking up a Mini Reo...

Picture004.jpg

I used the Chucks almost exclusively for over three years, with the Mini Reo being used only when a high level of portability was required.
When I got my first Twist battery it was intended to replace my Mini Reo, which it did, but it would up replacing my Chucks too!

Now my Chucks have retired to the fishing tackle box, beside the Mini Reo.
They will probably only come out for special occasions, like if the Padres or Chargers make the playoffs.

So yeah, they'll probably never see the light of day again.

I remember when the Go-Go and the kGo competed with the eGo for top dog. The eGo is still going strong but I never see anyone mention the kGo or the go-go. DC2... I've been seeing that avatar of your chucks for years! I hate to hear they've been retired!

Also the GLV, I never see that mentioned any more. I wonder if anyone is still making the 3.7 box mod? When I bought mine from a home modder, I was so excited, my first "mod"! I still use my VV madvapes boxmod.. or maybe not..it went to work with me every day for a year but since I started using rebuildables it's sat here on my desk. I'm afraid a short will ruin it.

I have a GLV2 mini that I've been using for over a year and a half. Its not my all day everyday device, but you really cant beat the size and durability.

If i could only keep one of my mods it would definitely be my P + 18500

Haha, you guys got nothing on this. It's a 5 year old 510 kit. The atomizers and carts were seperate and filled with polyfil. You had to cut a coffee stir and insert it to get proper air flow. Those metal cases have battery chargers built in because you had to charge the batteries after 10-15 hits! I used to carry alllll of that plus 5-6 spare batteries every day!

my p+500 is my go to, and my p+650 is my powerhouse battery. that is the beginning and the end of it. i'm so stoked over their telescopic, but that's the jump for me between absolute functionality/preparedness and hobby colllecting.

So yeah, they'll probably never see the light of day again.

So, pretty much like.... never. It ain't easy being a chargers fan. The one nice thing is that I can watch a Saints game to see what might have happened if AJ Smith wasn't such a contemptible excuse for a human being ;)

Speaking to the topic (sorry, my pics aren't so easy to find any more):

Ego batts: I have 1 left and recently gave away my last ego charger, so I'm not sure why I kept that one batt.

My Old Goat: Died a while back, but I keep thinking I'll either get old goat to fix it or make me another one sometime. That little thing was good for many many hours of vaping enjoyment and worth every penny.

Tube Mods: I still have two Maxi Rough Stacks and my 5.0v Triple-V. The rest are gone (given away, traded away, sold, lost...). One Rough Stack isn't in working condition and hasn't been for many months. I'm just too lazy to send it in for a new connector, I guess. The other one still gets used with a carto sometimes.

Plastic Box Mods: I have one madvapes VV box left. That's it. There might be a couple of broken 3.7v boxes and a broken big kazoo out in the garage or in the junk drawer, but I don't intend to fix them. The one VV box hasn't been used in a very long time, but it works really well. I'll probably give it away to a new vaper one of these days.

Tanks: Out of all the CE2 tanks, DCT tanks, and random single coil tanks I used for so long, I think there might be one MAP DCT around here somewhere. I won't ever use it again. I'll probably give that away with the VV Box the next time I have someone interested in vaping.

Other Odds and Ends: Vapemate - Drip On Demand - Kick - various tank tools - various voltage indicators - various and other countless gizmos and gadgets... All gone, lost, traded, given away, thrown away, etc.

While I don't in any way regret the purchase or use of most of the things I've had, some were a lot better than others (take the old goat for an example - got my money's worth and then some out of that). I eventually just settled in to quality feeders and good attys. One in a while, my Rough Stack with a carto is appropriate - and I have a good set up for dripping at 5.0v with my triple-v, but mostly, almost all of my vaping is done with one of my three nice feeders and a good atty.

surely you've heard they've brought their production in house? so stock is way less elusive and i thought they are releasing a bunch really soon?

the fun thing with the p+ ela for me is that i literally wouldn't have to collect a million of them just to have different size options. i'm not sure if they take a kiklet cap, which i wouldn't see why. once i can justify another large pv purchase like that, it's totally going to happen.
