My set up is pretty simple. eGo style battery (made by TC Vapes) with pass thru, bottom feed clearo with stainless covering.
I like it. I honestly have no urge to upgrade or spend more on expensive equipment. This is reliable, I get what I expect from it, and it's all inexpensive enough that if I lose it or break it, my heart doesn't break too - I can go buy the exact same thing for around $35.
My only problem is wicks/coils. They're replaceable and SUPER easily - just unscrew the old one, toss it, screw on the new one.
All I need is to find a vendor or site with wick/coil assemblies that DON'T burn up in (sometimes) a day.
I vape pretty heavily, but not unreasonably heavily. The equivalent of about a pack a day. Maybe a little more sometimes. Discounting the occasional dud coil which everyone gets from time to time, they STILL don't last that long. I have very literally, no bluffing, gotten a burnt taste and a harsh hit in a DAY on occasion. I've tried buying them from different places, and I have found a place that sells slightly better ones, which last 3-4 days.
Am I expecting too much? Is 3-4 days on a coil with the amount I vape normal? I mean, I don't think I'm doing anything wrong. I don't let my tank run dry, in fact I fill it at the point where I KNOW there's still liquid above the wick to avoid that very thing. When I replace a wick, I prime it with a few drops of juice, fill the tank, and then let it sit for a few minutes before taking the first hit so I make doubly sure I'm not vaping dry. Is there something else I should be doing, or something I'm doing that I shouldn't be?
Otherwise I love what I have. This is the first "cheap" tank that has ever given me good, consistent hits with a good amount of vapor, doesn't leak all over the place, seats tightly, and doesn't flatten my battery (which is what killed one I had). It's just the wick issue.
