Why the surprise? Before I bought mine, I checked the classifieds for almost a week, there were IMO around 5-6 Provaris everyday being sold. Imagine how many are being sold by Provape combined with the memberbase of ECF. And oh I have never posted in the provape forum because its a simple device with less than average features, no confusion, no questions, but wont mind having a second device as a backup for sure...:D

You can change your user name, although I can't recall the specifics. I think it might be after 1,000 posts, but don't hold me to that. I suggest you PM one of the mods.

Unless Admin has changed the specifics since last year your post count probably has nothing to do with having your user name changed. I changed mine maybe a month or two after I joined, so would have had a fairly low post count. Admin did it for me quite fast, but didn't approve the avatar I wanted to use for my new user name. That was also before I became a supporter. FWIW

Eh, I'm used to me now. I don't even remember what I wanted to change it to. :D

Edit... no wait, I do remember. Yeah it was a good one.

I know exactly how to do it, and yes, it's easy.

I agree that it doesn't exactly require a high IQ to get done, I just have other things I'd rather do with my time. A small deterrent is enough to get me moving on. It's a matter of priority though. If I couldn't afford another (or a first) provari, my motivations might be different.

I understand that, I already have a couple provaris anyways.

Ha! I laughed.
A couple days after I registered on ECF I wanted to change my username, but couldn't see how, so I figured I'd just abandon Copperpot and be someone else. But, when I tried to register, ECF gave me an error message saying my computer/phone was already associated with an account (something like that anyway). Thus I stuck with Copperpot. I'm sure there is a way around this for those who are persistent enough, but it's a good way to deter all but the most determined, from gaining multiple accounts.

Use this link to request a name change: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/forms.php?do=form&fid=9

Think some people cheat via multiple profiles in vendor giveaways here at ECF? Any good ways to help prevent it?

We have "routines" in place to detect multiple accounts. And if we catch someone creating one for the sole purpose of increasing their chance for a contest, they're not going to remain a member on ECF.

Setting up multiple accounts is a great way to get banned for life from ECF. You may get away with it, but if found out you will be "moved on."

Exactly.

I was wondering the same thing myself, haven't you notice how many new threads have opened up lately? The Provape forum has become a cluster %*#@ IMO :2c:
Provape and I are actually looking for a helper in the forum now :)
Putting up a post now for it!

Ken

I am not trying to rain on anyone's parade, but I think you know what I mean......... ;)
