so I have made my first ever diy liquid, chocolate strawberry, although i relly do enjoy the taste of it the nic level seems a bit high, i bought 54mg nic from L&T, used 2ml in a 10ml mix making it just over 10mg liquid as i usually vape at 11ml. i left it on a radiator for approx an hour then put 2ml in a tank just to taste it, it all tastes good but I seem to be getting slight head rush from it and now I'm worried the nic base isnt actually 54mg, any one else ever encountered anything like this? any help would be appreciated cheers

And a real ejuice calculator would also be a good thing to use, instead of guesstimating ml's -- using a real ejuice calculator, you can tell it what you want the finished nic level to end up at. And you can measure in your flavors at percentages, instead of guesstimating ml's.

I highly reciommend this one: DIY E-Liquid Calculator Ten Flavors With Nic. - PG/VG Adjust

I would not think this is what is causing a "head rush" although everyone is different. I personally have never gotten that from anything other than cigarettes. Are you using the same battery, mod or atomizer? Changing these may alter the taste of the juice. I read where a lot of people have to reduce their nic when they start using a dripper. Hope one of the answers here helps. Good luck and happy vaping to you.

I used to vape 18mg, dropped down to 11 when I switched to a subohm tank, I'm beginning to think it's the flavouring not agreeing with me and giving me a slight head ache, I'm just going to let it steep for a day or 2 and see how it is then

Sorry for your problems especially since it was me that recommended this to you. Here's something to try - make up some unflavoured at your strength and see if you get the same problems. If there's no problem with that then you know it's the flavouring that your having trouble with. What is the flavouring your using?

Cheers I'm mixing 7% strawberry and 5% chocolate, does a flavourless mix need steeping? Also I was thinking I might have a bad batch of nicotine as its like a brown in colour and has a fairly strong musky Oder to it

No steeping needed for flavourless. If it's a light brown colour it should still be ok - just been in stock for a while. If it's darker it may be oxidised which changes the taste a little but not necessarily for the worse - just my opinion on that as I've been experimenting with oxiding it and I find I prefer the taste if a little oxidised.
