hey WC, I put a small test order in there as well. Going to see how it turns out. I REALLY REALLY hope they are a decent Canadian supplier with good customer service. If they are, they could make out really well. If it's another EPuffer, I'm going to be one sad panda.

Good news, got a email from electronic-cigz.com, my order is on its way(2 bottles of Johnson Creek e-liquid), was ordered on Thu Mar 5, 2009, and was shipped Tues March 10, 2009. looking good for this canadian supplier so far.:D

I'm a Montrealer too, Bob..and agree it's so much a religion that most smokers that I know won't even bother with the e-cig. I got more negative feedback about the ecig's dangers from smokers than non-smokers.
One original argument is that PG is antifreeze and very dangerous....guess they don't know anything about USP pharmaceutical grade and I can't bother arguing anymore

Love those poutines though..awesome;)

Hi Misty...

well, antifreeze is Ethylene Glycol and they ought to read the side of their cigarette pack

Toxic Emissions:
Tar
Nicotine
Carbon Monoxide
Formaldehyde
Hydrogen Cyanide
Benzene

before they comment.

Come to think of it, poutine is healthier (did I say that?)

I got an email as well. I sent a few emails to check response time and in both cases he responded within an hour or so and was straight-forward and honest.

So far it's looking good. He responds quickly and shipped within 24 hours (business days only).

The prices of his batteries though... :)

I grabbed liquid with some accessories. He told me that the accessories weren't in yet and I'd have them next week. He split the order so I could get my juice in a day which I appreciated.

I already owned pilots and evos so having a guy with replacement parts that I can get within 48 hours is pretty damn sweet. I'm kinda pulling for this guy.

Edit: He says he will soon be carrying the VG liquid which is good. I like to do a 50/50 mix.

How do I start a new thread? Do I have to have a certain number of posts before I can start a thread??

Anyone know what is involved with becoming an e-cig retailer??

Hey PPP....

Ya, you need 15 posts (I believe) before you can start topics.

What's involved ?? Oh My !!! Lot & lots of reseaching, lots of money to set-up "properly" (if you look at the complaints of the members here about suppliers), and learning about all the regulatory issues and laws involved for your locale.

Did I mention LOTS OF RESEARCH ??

Its not for the faint hearted as these devices develope from their infant stages, and certainly more so with the ongoing legal issues surrounding them as they progress through popularity and mainstreaming.

Just don't let anyone tell you its a breeze and set yourself up as yet another cheap uncaring & useless online supplier that are flooding the market. They're lifespan is shortlived and you'd hate to be squashed out with losses for not investigating the industry properly.

Actually not thinking online...Direct B2B seller. I have a friend that owns a small cafe, he loves the idea of being the first in our area to advertise their business as "E-cig Friendly." Who wouldnt like to be able to sit proudly in a coffee shop and get ur fix on with a vape. We've discuss the pros and cons of what kind of public response he will face, but he is a proven business that has suffered since the smoking law started. Will smokers be willing to spend some money on a vape so they can enjoy their morning coffee the way they used to do it?!

Once they get the VG juice from JC in stock and remove the goofy prices on the batteries I think they could become my main supplier for my 401 gear. Getting everything within 48 hours is pretty damn sweet.

Glad to here of your success Nuck, shipping to New Brunswick taking a little longer, Canada post tracking says march 17 expected delivery date. I will just need to order when we are 1/2 out of personal stock to make sure it gets here on time, rather this than paying shipping from the US.

Whole-heartedly agree and would make a good venture. Its how I currently am operating with the Smoke51 in the Ottawa area, but its exploding on me and must acquire a website to handle the workload/organization.

I'm not sure were your located (perhaps like we have, and been trying to get others to do, you can go into your "User CP" at the top of any page and enter in your location information to assist others in knowing your locale when discussion things).

Where ever you are at, always try and find a reputable supplier VERY close to your location and approach them to gauge yours and their interest and stocking/support capabilities.

Do make sure that you both use and are satisfied with the product your trying to market.

The rest would be simple for b2b set up........

-Register your business
-Register with PST (which should also provide you with a vendor registration).
-Register with GST.
-Verify if your Municipality requires a business licience for your particular venture.
-Do some research on small business ownership to know your obligations and requirements. Most are very informative and online.

I think anyone can do well if they research and plan properly, especially so if they already have a location interested in providing something exclusive like you mention. Then its just a matter of time, through the exposure of use in the public, until word spreads and an opportunity for growth presents itself. It is THEN that you will need to decide on how large you want to become, or what other sales resources you want to explore.

Good luck on your decision.

Greg
