where to buy ni/ti wire?

anyone know of a good, reputable vendor that sells ni200 and/or titanium wire? also, what gauge is a good starting point?

been looking around the local b&m's to get just a few feet to try out, and literally nobody has any in stock...

I just did a search on Amazon for "ni200" and "titanium wire" and got plenty of hits. Amazon is reliable, though YMMV.

Ni200 - eBay - Search TEMCO NI200... BAM! Results. As far as Ti01 wire (titanium)... the only results I find are jewelry applications and Spider Silk titanium wire. I've used the spider silk wire too... you need to clean that wire THOROUGHLY before use - and don't DRY BURN OR TORCH IT! Doing so may cause the Ti wire to oxidize and appear corroded. IF you see powder on the titanium wire - its been oxidized to the point of no return.

For Ni200 you can just buy it directly from Temco themselves, I've ordered from them before and it was free shipping.

thanks for the suggestions, very much appreciated! ended up buying a few feet from vaperev (walk-in, they're 20 minutes from me ). still doing some fiddling, but it looks like direct from temco is the best deal, so i'll probably go that route when i need some more.
