The 100 ft of temco wire I ordered was wound on a spool with the ends taped under the sticker. The shorter lengths I ordered from ecig suppliers were wound on an emery floss card, and I did manage to really tangle the first one of those. That was due to inexperience at how springy the stuff was. As soon as you cut some off, no matter what type of spool it is wound on, you need to secure the ends. Because it will spring right off the spool if you just lay it down.
