Where to go from my eGo

I've had my 510 eGo for a year now and I've gotten a few friends to start vaping as well. None of us have quit analogs completely but boy have I cut down. Anyway, I'd like to step it up, what mod should I get? So far I've looked at the Chuck, the Silver Bullet, and the XHaler. I've heard of the GG and Prodigy V2's but don't know enough of any to make a strong decision.

My main concerns would be vapor production, throat hit (although I'm not going for harsh or "spicy"), and how long each hit takes (I believe that has to do with the voltage but I'm not sure). Something with a pricetag of around $100 would be best.

The two top variable volts (Darwin & Provari) are twice as much as your budget but are great PV's. The next logical step for you and one of the best PV's on the market is the 5 volt GLV2. Very well supported on ECF and comes with a lifetime warranty. You can't go wrong with this PV and it's in your budget range:

5 volt GLV 2: Electronic Cigarettes and E-Liquid - Great Lakes Vapor

I'm going to check this one out. Thanks. I have a newb of a question but what are cartomizers and how do they differ from atomizers?

Basically a cartomizer is a one piece design. Meaning the atty and cart are one piece. The standard cartridge is a two piece device, the atomizer and the cartridge are separate pieces. Cartomizer's are designed to be used one time and thrown away. But the upside is they can be refilled numerous times, that along with a low price make them very cost effective

When I was ready to move up from the Ego, I chose the Provari. I know that cost is a major consideration, but having the ability to find your sweet spot with a variable voltage mod made it worth every cent! There are other VV mods out there as well, and some that are cheaper, so keep doing your research and I'm sure you will find something that fits both your needs and your pocketbook.

You don't mention what you're using with your ego, cartos, attys or their resistance. The cheapest route would be to try some lower resistance equipment or a 5 volt pass through if you haven't already. I'm a vv fan, but there are lots of experienced, knowledgeable vapors that prefer fixed voltage devices and get more power by buying low resistance. When you're pricing mods, remember you'll have to add in at least 2 sets of batteries and a charger, making that $100 budget even more limiting.

I don't think I'm ready to take the plunge into VV e-cigs quite yet. Sweet spot aside, my pockets are tight enough trying to stay under a $200 total.
My eGo was using standard resistance (2.8ohm) 510 atomizers. I've tried low resistance and liked them but never made the switch.
Been looking at reviews for the GLV2 and everyone's making it sound so sweet. I'd like to see what's the difference between vaping a 3.7V and 5V
