I wpuld suggest the glv2 5v regulated for you pricepoint. Or if you want 3.7 (which would hit slightly harder than ur ego) a 3.7 glv 2 or glv2 supemini Great mods. Buzz pro would be nice if you want Vv.

Yeah I'm pretty set on a GLV2 5V unless I find something even greater

So if you are trying to stay right around the 100 range....you should look at these two mods:
1) Bombshell sold at HotVapes.com you can run it at 3.7 or 6 volts. You will need one 18650 for 3.7 volt and two rcr123a 3.0 volt for 6.0 volts.
2) Mini Saber Touch for VaporMoon.com runs only at 3.7 volts with one 16340 battery that is unless you purchase the Passthrough kit, which will allow almost any voltage. Look in the Huge Discount section for the best deals.

I do own both of the above and also just purchased a 5.0 volt Saber Touch.

After burning out on my eGo-T I went to a Megalodon. I played with the different voltages, different feed systems, etc, but still had my original problem: lack of reliable simplicity. Then I got a REO, and then a Hog's mod. Issue solved. IMHO, and for my money (paid $110 for either, used and new respectively), bottom feeders are the only way to go. Being able to stuff a bottle of juice that will last all day or longer and a battery that will last all day or longer in and go was priceless. I don't have time or patience to fiddle with topping off carts or trying to get a tank to feed without leaking, and I never have to deal with any of that now. I also found I could replicate the vaping performance of all but the highest voltages by using lower resistance attys. I'm using Cisco LR306's right now and can get a hot hit with plenty of vapor without feeling like I'm sucking on the business end of a flamethrower. I might try a VV Hog once Mike makes them (soon) just to play with, but I don't foresee ever going back to a top feeder, regardless of what's underneath it.

I'd recommend a Megaladon, looks great, holds it's resale value, and you can try out 3 set's of voltages 3.7v, 5v, 6v, and 7.4v.
Not to mention it's duel size (shrinking it down to the min-don is soooo cool)
In truth VV (or constant wattage like the Darwin) is the future, but in my opinion both of those are ugly and overpriced at the moment. it won't be long before the chinese will start to produce a mass market VV/VW mod, so I'd hang fire.

4.5 volts to 5 volts is considered the "sweet spot" for vaping on regular attys and cartos. This option misses that range: one too low and one too high. For fixed volt, the 5 volt GLV2 would be at the top of the list.

I checked out the REO Mini and the site is completely out of stock... Looks like a sweet device though. And "bottom feeder"? Sorry I've been off the forums and out of the game for a year, do you mean to tell me there's finally a way to vape straight off the bottle?!

Anyone here use cartomizers? If you do, do you refill them and which method do you use?

I'd like to thank everyone for continuing to respond and contribute to the topic.

The Reo has many devoted fans. Another option in that same vein is the 5 volt GLV 3:

You can catch the Mini's on the classy's fairly regularly for not much more than a Benjamin. the Mini encases a 3ml bottle and runs off a 14500 3.7v battery. The Grand has a 6ml bottle and can run an 18650 battery or two 3v mainly. Good luck finding a Grand, they're...um...a little popular just now ;). If you like the look and feel of wood, Rob makes the Woodvil version of the REO, but a guy called Hogwart makes the "Hog's mod" that also uses a 6ml bottle and 18650 battery. I have one and love it to death. Hits like a big dog on a low res atty or carto. Check them out here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modder-accessories-supplier-forum/196163-hogs-mods-115.html. Currently going for $110 fixed volt, he's anticipating $160 for the upcoming VV.

Here's a pic of mine with the door off..just a little squeeze of the bottle through the door opening (called squonking) and you're good for 3 or 4 hits. YMMV.

As much as I liked the design of the reo, I agree it misses the sweet spot for many. Mini does 3.7 and grand does 3.7/6. Also, if 3.7 is good for you and you like the idea of a feeder in 3.7, there is the vmod from vapage.com which I prefer and its less than half the cost of a reo, $60 after the coupon code barfly (reo is $140). But, other than my fav vw, Darwin, my fav. Is the glv 5v. Many different colors, perfect size and feels very comfy!

An "ego Booster" might be another option, since you have an ego. I don't have one, haven't tried it, but I've heard good things.

Canadian electronic cigarette Happy/Joye eGo, Booster

I have one and I love it. I already had all the parts and didn't have to buy anything different. I can use the same batteries/charger, same cartos, etc etc. It turns your ego into a VV mod up to 4.7v. It has a lot of skeptics, may of whom haven't tried it or only tried it with LR cartos/attys, but it does work really well. I highly reccomend it. You can see it in my avitar on the right side.

I'm not hijacking here, honest...but that's the first I've seen of the GLV. Do you use the bottom feed system with it? I just hit wv's link...it looks pretty sweet!

I was going to suggest gotvapes and their new ego and varable passthru, both cheaper than other mods. I have the notcigs infinity and it is great. But I have found I like the voltages that the passthru and ego run at. Have a 5 volt also, but like the lower volt devices. To each their own....

If you're referring the new "VV" ego with the lil LED lights, it's not really VV. Well, unless you count controlling the voltage from below a normal ego batt up to a regular ego batt, then sure. Basically, you can control it's voltage from 2v up to 3.3 or what not. I thought it looked pretty awesome too until I did more research and found out that it didn't work like I thought.
