Well, you all probably know what I've been doing - writing pro-PV articles and helping newbs the best I can (being relatively newbie myself!)

I've been pretty busy with that, and then ECF was offline so much & I've been over at BigJim's forum.

I guess everything is so serious, because we are at a serious crossroads here, threatening PVs' very existence. It's a scary thing.

I guess I should take a break more often and post something silly! :D

It's hard to do though, given the general tone of the whole PV world these days.

Yeah, it is scary. So far I've had next to zero cravings for an analog, and I'm hoping that will continue. It's the best thing I've tried for quitting smoking, and the idea that it might be taken away is frightening. I really, really, really don't want to go back to smoking. I feel better, even after less than a week of vaping.

Kristin, you're in the ZONE, girl..... and damn glad to see you post in here! You're doing some fantastic work, and we all appreciate you!

I'm really glad to see people posting again in here...our little Cheddar group has been quiet for too long...within the next month or two I'm hoping to get another get-together planned out, there's a lot of new people in our group who haven't met yet, and I'd like to rectify that...even if we meet for social purposes, a group of vapers in a public bar or restaurant is going to increase vaping awareness, and that's key. Wisconsin, right now, seems to be a fairly vape-friendly state, and we need to continue that trend by making sure people KNOW and accept our practices.

I know a get-together is a bit difficult, as we're scattered all across the state, but I was thinking either Madison or Waukesha for meeting places in the future.

It looks just like a AAA battery, but it isn't. It is a proprietary (?) battery. It says 360mAh. If you're looking for shear power according to Vics the Prodigy has plenty (maybe too much, actually).;)

As far as vaping gear goes...the Stick runs at 3.7 volts, and the rechargable batteries are NOT common batteries.... but I've had my battery in the stick now for 3 months, and it's still performing strong (even after a dip in the lake......long story!!)

For sheer power, yes, the Prodigy is that, in spades, as is the GG. The Prod runs at 5 or 6 volts, depending on the switch configuration you get, and the GG runs at 6 volts as well. They take some getting used to, running at the higher voltage, you've got to be careful with the attys and overheating - it was an expensive lesson for me to adjust my draw style to take smaller hits instead of a massive, 10 second draw (fried ALOT of atomizers that way!!!)

The stick, you can take, vape, and learn the ins and outs of easily...the Prod has a LONG learning curve attached to it....but it's worth it in the end, 'cause it's a great vape.

Madison works best for me, as I have the previously stated place to crash there.

I'd kinda like to do shorter draws. When I was smoking I'd do short, powerful draws, so at first with my M402 I was thinking "What the crap? This thing works like crap!" until I learned to do slow and steady draws on it.

I think it's just that lull time here. Seems like activity behind the curtain has always had it's ups and downs.

As for me; been trying to get use to the whole back to school routine and I've gotten tooooo involved with Facebook LOL Loving Mafia Wars and making football bets with friends around the country.
Loosing the Viking game was the worst. I had to post something like 'I'm so glad Favre didn't retire; Vikings will get their ring this year and my cousin Robyn rocks!" every night for 4 (Hmmm) consecutive evenings. On the other bet I lost, he got to pick out my profile pic for me to display for a day. He picked out a pic of some girl holding and kissing this HUGE pig. At least he didn't pick out a Viking's emblem or something equally as horrible LOL

Now that word is getting out that we are having a get together next month, I'm sure things will start perking back up.

GO VIKINGS!!!!

I'm originally from Minnesota. I really couldn't care less about football, though. Unless we're talking real football, and not this American Football crap... then I'm game for watching a match.

I can't wait to go back to school next semester. It's about time I finally finish my degree... even though I need to start over since my credits likely won't transfer.

Now, if ever I've been tempted to moderate a post, it was that one, Lyndale......Vikings indeed!

Hehehe..... I behaved myself, though!

What are you going back to school for? My sister (and she's older than me) has spent her lifetime in various stages of academia....and is going back to get her masters.

First I'm going to take the Phlebotomy courses (blood drawing) so that I can get a better paying job doing that. I moved here and didn't know that management experience doesn't seem to count for squat in this area.

After that I might do some more health related courses, maybe get my LPN, but my goal is to finish my biology degree. First it's all about getting something that will get me more monies so I can pay for the degree, though.

ETA: I will probably minor in English or English as a Second Language teaching. Straight English minor will have an emphasis on technical writing.

In this area, it's pretty much who you know, or being in the right place at the right time to get a decent-paying job (well, what counts for decent...) and my management experience was actually a slight issue brought up in my interview for my current position (they were worried that the position they had available wouldn't 'fulfill' my needs...bah!)

Now, the good news...there are plenty of jobs around here focusing on the medical fields, so you shouldn't have any trouble getting a 'vampire' gig (that's what I've always called the lady with the needles..hehehe)...the classifieds are full of needs for every specialist in medical.

Good luck on your continuing education, Lyndale...it sounds llike you've got a fairly solid plan in place.

GO VIKINGS!!!!

I'm originally from Minnesota.

What part of MN are you from?
I spent 2 years living in Burnsville. The best part of our time there was the Vikings couldn't sell out any home games, so they showed Packer games in their place! :D

What brought you behind the Cheddar Curtain?

Now, if ever I've been tempted to moderate a post, it was that one, Lyndale......Vikings indeed!

Hehehe..... I behaved myself, though!

Yes; us Packers she great restrain....;) Good girl, Vicks!! LOL

Burnsville? I'm sorry.

I spent my whole life in various places around the Twin Cities. Grew up in St. Paul, moved to the suburbs when I was 10. Lived in Minneapolis for a while.

I moved to Wisconsin because of a relationship. My job back home was a dead end (management always is), so there wasn't much to keep me in Minnesota. I mistakenly also thought that the jobs situation around these parts would be better than in Minnesota... sadly I was wrong. Cost of living is great, though.

"Got a good suggestion for a long battery life PV? My M402 doesn't last very long... then again, I've spent the whole day chain vaping. "

I find my USB passthrough to be priceless for all day marathon vaping at my desk ;)

Otherwise I recommend a 510 with PCC and three batt's to rotate :D

2 PCC's would be even better :D

Ben, it sounds like you just need a good big battery mod. If you can make it to the meeting on Nov 14th I think you'll get to see a lot of them.

Yup..that's the problem with the PV's that look like a cig.....poor battery life. That's the tradeoff you make for appearances.

I'll be bringing the 2 mods I've got...the stick and the Prodigy. I know others have different mods (Y, you've got a Cisco laser mod, yes?). That's the beauty of meetings like this...comparing gear, juices, special modifications, etc.....

And door prizes :D. I'm working on it....
