I bought some various flavors of 36mg juice and 5 empty carts from puresmoker the other day. I filled one cart with the Riskee juice....that was waayyy too good! I filled another with the cola juice....another awesome taste! Another I filled with coconut, which was okay (it did taste like coconut but wasn't strong enough tasting for me). The coffee (which I had hoped I'd love) really didn't taste much like coffee to me either, but it was okay.

I vaped all day on those, particularly the riskee and cola and was loving it. As the taste weakened, I added more juice to the cart...at times, also to the atomizer. But as the day wore on, I tasted less and less flavor. I was topping off like crazy but it didn't make a difference. Then I started tasting a burnt taste. This ended up happening with all the flavors.

I took some old carts, rinsed them out, dried them then refilled them with fresh liquid. It still never tasted the same again! :(

So what happened to my wonderful flavors? I am really bummed about this and at a loss. I have since used new batteries, freshly cleaned atomizers and even a new atomizer, with no change. I can't seem to get rid of that burnt taste.

I know it can't be the juice because they still smell wonderful. Could it be the used carts? Would I always need a brand new cart to taste that first flavor again? Could it be my taste buds? This is really baffling me.

BTW...I had also rec'd a 36mg banana flavor from pillbox. I filled the last blank cart I had with it and the same thing happened. It was wonderful for most of the day then it got weaker, then burnt tasting.

I thought using a rinsed filler would work but it seemed the only good flavor I got was with a new blank cart. Would that matter that much? Also, I am a pretty heavy vaper.

Anybody have any answers?

Thanks.

Hey Lu,

Yeah ... I've noticed this too with using cartridges ... thats why I only drip now ....

If you compare a brand new core (never filled) with a core that has been rinsed (filled before) you will notice a sheen on the brand new one. It almost looks like moisture but its not. This sheen/glistening material isn't seen once washed ... Its the only thing I have been able to come up with, but I think that (whatever it is) allows the pass between the cartridge and the atomizer to be (more virgin) if that makes sense? not even sure that makes sense to me ... LOL ...

When using a new cartridge core, it works great for the first 6-7 topp offs, than the quality of vapor and volume go down, due to the fact the strands are stuck together and liquid can't pass through it. I'm wondering when washed, if you are actually washing a .... lubricant of some sort of the cartridge filling at the same time ... so therefore, the juice tends to stick to the cartridge filling much much more, and not allowing it to transfer as easily ...

damn, i feel like i just said that all in 1 breathe ...

if dripped, juice tastes the same each time, every time ...

I talked to Steve today about the coffee. I had already gone through 3 bottles of it at 36mg and decided to tone down to 18mg with a 30 ml bottle. I had a bit of the old stuff left over and compared the 2 and they tasted a bit different. The new bottle I got was not as "rich". It is still good, but the orgasm I used to have on the coffee is not there.

Maybe Steve you can kick it up a notch as they say and really get some coffee flavor in there. I may have just gotten a odd bottle, sure hope so because I cant live with out this flavor.

Hey Steve, thanks for the reply!

I think you are on to something there about the difference in the new carts. I just ordered some more blank ones from you earlier....will give that another shot.

I just tried your suggestion with dripping and although it certainly did taste much better, I still didn't get that real sweet taste on either the coke or the riskee as I did the first time...dang it!

But here is my problem with dripping. I am really a heavy vaper...I think it would be impossible to drip as much as I need. The 36mg has helped me cut down on the analogs....but I wonder if dripping that all day would be okay for me. I could try cutting in a bit but I'm afraid I'll want more analogs then. What a dilemma!

Also, the 2 batteries I was using with it both went wacky today. I shook them and juice came out. I think I flooded them. How would I avoid this?

I really appreciate your suggestions because I am really at a loss here. Pete was talking about fish tank filler for the carts for cheap. I wonder if it's safe? Right about now, I'd try anything to get that flavor back!

I can smell them, I just can't taste them. Kinda like smelling fresh popcorn but not being able to get your hands on it

BTW.....think you'll ever do 36mg banana? It's awesome too!

hmm, sorry overread you've done this already, so the burned taste comes from the flooded airswitch, seems to have been switched always on and overheated the atomizer, leading to the battery problems.

I probably did flood it....kept adding juice to get the flavor back. The atomizers I used also died so I must have really gone overboard!

I want to drip to get the flavor but I'm afraid with as much as I vape, I'll just flood everything I come in contact with!

strong first post ... hmmm

Happy, You're satisfied ;)

BTW more Americans here than on ecigforum.com, where the U.S. sellers are, it seems  , why that? FAQ: And why can't we edit our posts here after posting?

I probably did flood it....kept adding juice to get the flavor back.

Yes, but never try to force it if You don't know the system, will make it always worse, it is like You connect 3~ 400Volts to Your washing machine to get cleaner clothes out, this will never work :D

Jeez, you guys talking about Virgins, Orgasms, Filling, Lubricant, & topping-off. I am all excited now!

All joking aside, I have waited all week for my Menthol fix from Steve and it appears that the damned Post Office is finally going to bring it today along with my 1st bottle of Cash Cola & Pina Colada, and My new USB adapter for the pen. Oh Happy day!

Now back to the Virgins and Lubricant.....:)

I believe that you get used to the taste after a while even if you use different flavours in the day. The best way I have found to get the taste back is to leave your favourite flavour alone for a day or 2, maybe longer and then come back to it. I have many flavours and it works great for me!! If all flavours taste the same put the ecig down for a while or choose a flavour you know to be rubbish and vape that until the next morning hope that works for you!!

Here's the irony of this thing. Before the flavored juice, I was smoking mostly tobacco-y tasting stuff. I wasn't too keen on it, but it worked. I was still smoking too many analogs though.

When I first tried the riskee and cola, I thought I died and went to heaven! Thought for sure I'd OD because I couldn't put it down. The last thing I wanted was a yucky tasting analog.

As a matter of fact, my daughter called. Usually when she calls, I instinctively light a cig just as I pick up the phone. Yesterday when she called, I actually looked at both my ecig and my analogs and thought "Hmmm...which one do I want? Some cola...or that nasty-... tobacco?"....and there was no further hesitation. It was so good, I never lit an analog while on the phone. And now....everything tastes burnt; they almost taste like my analogs!

I've washed out fillers to have a fresh cart to start with...even washed the mouthpieces. Used a fresh atomizer...nothing.

Steve might have had something when he said there's something in the new carts that filter (for lack of a better term) the flavor better. Maybe that gets burned off with smoking and rinsed away with washing...so it's never the same. In any event, I will have that answer soon as I just ordered some blank carts from Steve. Maybe I can recapture the taste again....we'll see. If not....I'm screwed! lol

I could put it down for a day or two but ya know....weekends are really the time I can just sit and vape and relax. Really would have been nice to settle in with one of these delicious flavors :(

Thanks for the suggestion tribal.

No, actually those food parfum ingredients are more or less heat resistant.
My Tee Cee Trade (w ww.euro-e-cigarette.eu) MLB liquid works only in the DSE901, not in the DSE101, seems the atomizer heater of the DSE101 gets too hot and kills the food parfume.
