Add 2-5 drops of this to 10ml of Butterscotch e-juice.

One possibly (and I think most ppl either don't know about or don't think about it) is the taste buds can build an "immunity" of sorts to a flavor after a while. It takes some longer than others, but it will happen (newbie to vaping, but a cigar aficionado). Anyone that smokes cigars regularly will tell you that you've gotta change it up every now and then, "cut up" the palette, so to speak. I've found there's nothing better for this than menthol, it's to your taste buds what a defib unit is to your heart.

This may or may not be the issue, but at least my .02 :)

I'm frustrated because I love butterscotch candy but am unable to taste anything in the butterscotch juice I have. All I taste is fog machine like taste.

Am I doing something wrong? I filled the blank cart with it, dripped a few on the atty bridge. And am topping it off when it needs it. But no flavor comes through. I smelled the bottle of juice and it smells great, just like butterscotch. What gives?

Is it possible for an atty to be bad but still work but give no flavor? I'm so frustrated by not being able to taste it.

I can however taste marlboro juice. Which I'm not fond of. But I used that on a different atty.:-x

EDIT: I just used a new atty with a blank cart, filled it up with butterscotch and dripped on the atty. Same lack of taste. :(

Xdun, I have struggled with the same problem for a long time and I've tried about 20 different Lorann's flavoring and tried mint and menthol and have ordered from a lot of different vendors.

Every once in awhile I'd find something that I thought might work for me, but in the end it never did the trick.

Eventually I ordered from Tasty Vapor and FINALLY I could taste the flavor. The first flavors I tried were Coconut Cream Pie and Bananas Foster, and I've collected quite a few flavors from them, but when it comes to strong sweet flavor, nothing beats their Atomic Fireball. I'm not even a fan of cinnamon, but this tastes just like cinnamon red hots and is delicious.

Their Butterfinger gets rave reviews, too, but I've not tried that one yet.

One thing that I really like is they sell 30ml (1ounce) for $15.00 ($10.00 if you catch a sale) and you can buy a doubler which is 4 ounces of non-nic flavoring for $15.00. If you buy 48mg and cut it with the doubler it goes a long way, but you're not diluting the flavor b/c you're mixing with flavored liquid.

Good Luck!

ya I've an RN4081 which I absolutely love but I too can't taste flavored juices, I can smell them but don't seem to have the same tastes as others, I've read that higher voltage ecigs produce better flavor than the 3.7 volt models, but maybe it's just my tastebuds I only quit analogs a week ago so maybe it takes time for them to come back.

I once quit for a year and it took a solid month for all facets of taste buds to come back. So, at a week, you are right on track if things are still tasting a bit off.

Its almost 8 1/2 months since I've used tobacco, after 45 years of smoking, and I still do not have full taste bud action yet. It has improved drasticly for food, but vap'n......

I can tell the difference between certain juices, as in this on is different from that one, but actual flavors, can say as I could identify a banana flavor from from a strawberry from a black cheery.:(

I've been off analogs for 3 days. I started vaping right when i ran out of smokes. I am having the taste problems also. Can somebody recommend a flavor/maker that might work or is strong enough for me? I am not a heavy smoker. These past few years i was able to cut back to 1 pack every few days. I am trying medium strength 18mg e-liquids.

I had the same problem, it took a month for me to be able to taste the sweet fruity vapes,
after quitting the cigs entirely. Problem is, food tastes a lot better too:( LOL

Well I am at just over a month without tobacco and my taste buds are erratic as all get out. For example.... I cannot stand McDonalds now. Waaaaaay too much salt.

I went thru a French Vanilla and a Rootbeer bottle without a major perception.

I just got in a new atty, and combined with new fillers hope to see an improvement. Going to try Peanut Butter Strawberry Banana. If I can't taste that...

Okay,
My experience is a bit different. I use a 510 and I had thought that it was just my taste-buds or or my choice of vaporizer or something like that however I found that I could taste the carts just fine, but got no taste from any of the liquids I ordered.

I had been ordering from China and noticed that the same flavors would be a different color or consistency every time. I also noticed that some atomizers would do a better job of producing a hot vapor and a flavor than others.

I recently got to sample juice from my freedom smokes and Viking at a friends place and both produced a better (but not awesome) flavor even on my 510 and the atomizer I had been using for about a week.

I think that more then just your taste-buds and such the issue is with the manufacture;
how do they create their flavors? how is it stored and shipped? had the liquid been exposed to high heat or extended sunlight? Did they buy 100mg juice from somewhere and just pour more PG into it till it was stepped down enough to sell as 24mg? Did you get an atomizer from a manufacturer that does no quality control?

As for me a couple drops of Vodka, a couple drops of vanilla and a couple drops of caramel wakes the flavor up just fine. I'll put in an order at one of the two above mentioned vendors later and let you know how it works out.

Till then, if I vendor sells me crap equipment or tasteless liquid, I just stop ordering from them.

I just got a new atty. I just got thirty mils of Peanut Butter Strawberry Bannana. I cleaned all the carts. I replaced the filler. The battery is also new and finished its' eight hour charge. Three drops to prime the atty.

If this doesn't work then my taste buds are shot . . .

It's now or never . . .

Well it didn't suck. But I can't honestly say that I actually tasted anything. I know that had it been a blind vape I could not have come close to guessing.

Maybe next time... sigh

The tip of your tongue is where the taste buds are that detect sweet and salt.

Whatever atty I use, preference being the 510, I maximise the flavour by sucking the vapour straight on, and slightly under, the tip of my tongue. I keep the tip of my tongue no more than 2 - 3mm away from the mouthpiece of my atty. I can taste hot, sweet smoke, full of flavour jetting onto my tongue. I can taste nothing if I just inhale it full into my mouth like I would an analog.

Easy to try - costs nothing. ;)
