Just got my new sliver bullet in today. All I have is Trustfire batteries right now, but I really want to get some new ones. What's your take on the AW IMR 1600mah, or the AW 3100mah? I imagine either would work great, but the 3100mah is double the price of the 1600mah. Is there enough of a difference to matter? I've been runnig a 1.25 ohm dual coil tank on it.

The AW IMR 1600 is superior to the AW Li-On 3100 in many ways, but will have to be recharged twice as often. You can't go wrong with either one (and, in fact, I own more than one of both plus a couple of AW 2600 Li-On 18650s), but your best vaping experience will be with the 1600 IMR.
I've got Li-ion's and IMR's and the IMR's are clearly better batteries. They seem to have a higher drain rate and produce more vapor quicker. And, although they have a lower mah rating you can get twice as many for the price.
Go with the AW IMR 1600 mah 18650 for sure. It will give you the highest "under load" voltage and keep it high for longer than any other battery out there.

The AW IMR's have an advantage over the Li-on batteries. They hold their voltage for a longer period of time where the Li-on will constantly drop in voltage with continue use.
Thanks Hairball I just got an Indulgence V3 and it came with ultrafire 18650's and thought I would try the IMR's.
You want to get a good laugh? Go in to a Radio Shack or even better a dedicated battery store and whip out an 18650... I have gotten the best laughs out of the conversation that follows.

Wow must be a big demand they are out of stock everywhere. I must have checked 10 different places. I guess I'll have to get on a waiting list. lol
i have the black 18650s that are 3100 mAh. ii got them with my SB. I like them.. They last me two days. Just wish they fit in my Lavatube

Sorry. When I grabbed the link, I decided to get a couple while I was there. I must have wiped them out.
I ordered mine from altsmoke last night, they showed in stock then, but now they show out of stock. I really hope mine don't get put on backorder.

This is just my thinking, but, I prefer the IMR's in the SB due to the SB's vent is around the button. A protected batt, if it lets go, will vent fire, the safer chemestry IMR will vent hot gas. I would rather have that than fire.
First off look at the bottom of the switch housing, see the hole? Now look at the top of the switch bezel. The SB vents at the switch, not at the bottom.
However with most problems that crop up with a mod, the spring just drops, and there is no big explosion or venting with a SB.
While the AW IMR is a great battery, just remember that it is not a protected battery. Mods like the SB also have NO built in protection ckts.
Sorry, but I would rather use bats that have a protection chip in mine.

Has anyone tried these Panasonic IMR 2250mah 18650's? They are more expensive but sound like a really good battery. Callies Kustoms 3100mAh 18650 Panasonic Batteries
