Which carts work the best for more vapor, less throat hit?

Trying to find the right cartomizers based on the equipment and experience I've got.

Started off with carts for a cigarette I believe is a LTV9 (Red Dragon) and I really liked the flavor and vapor that came off a fresh cart on a fresh battery. The problem with my first carts is that they are the old style cartomizers that came in 4 packs and taste like burned paper after smoking them for about 30-40 draws.

So I ordered some VK compatible carts from premiumecig and tried those. The quality and flavor are much better for sure and they last MUCH MUCH longer without turning into burned paper. However the throat hit on the 16mg is too harsh and the vapor production is lower than the LTV9 carts.

My equipment currently is 4 LTV9 batteries, a KR808 USB passthrough and 2 batteries. What carts do you recommend for more vapor and much smoother kick?

I was shocked enough by what you were looking for that I didn't really know how to reply at first. Now that I've had a moment to digest it, let me try to offer some assistance.

Throat hit is really not based on the cart itself. Throat hit is determined by 1) how hot your atomizer is getting, 2) strength of the nic in your liquid, 3) the flavoring of your liquid.

I'm not familiar with the model that you are using, so making suggestions is difficult. In the subject you say cart, and then in the post you say cartomizer and cart both. These are different things. A cart is just a plastic mouthpiece with the stuffing in it to hold the e-liquid, completely separate from the atomizer. A cartomizer is an atomizer and cart all in one. A very important distinction.

HTH.

sure your not burning poly?
No they taste fine all the way through (unlike the ancient cartomizers I got in 4 pack from Red Dragon), they just seem pretty harsh on the throat and there's not a huge amount of vapor.

My friend also received a KR808D1 from PremiumECig and complained the amount of vapor was pretty weak compared to the LTV9 with a fresh cartomizer.

Just to clarify, I should specify the KR808D-1 is the model I've got.

Hi Blair,

I have a kr808D-1 (VK, Nebula etc.) also, and if you are looking for more vapor and less throat hit maybe you should try what I tried?

That is, buy some glycerin from a craft store or Walmart and add it straight up to a bit of your nic juice.

This takes the % down a bit and adds volumes of vapor while reducing the taste and throat impact.

My understanding is that all glycerin is the same; that a USP label insures purity.

I ask for a small syringe...

(tell them what your up to and they'll be eager to help you)

...and draw off a wee bit of juice, then a wee bit of glycerin, shake well and use that same syringe to top up a used cartomizer...

CLOUDS of less...

that'll do just what you want...

PS.
My plan is to tone down my juice as I use it, keep my bottle full while steadily decreasing the NIC content...

Best Regards

Do a small sample first see what you think.

Do manufacturers make different types of carts for the KR808D1? For instance we got ours from premiumecigarettes, but say do carts from Vapor King or Nhaler have totally different mixtures?

That's a good question.
Based on how everything else in the world of e-cigs works... no.

I'd go with fonosmoaks suggestion or try a different model. I've heard pretty mixed reviews about the cartomizers.

Hi again,

Literally though: Got my morning nic buzz on.

Ahh! to be analogue free and happy.

The KR808d-1 is the only e-cig I've owned; tried a smoke 51 and didn't feel the love.

There are so many things I like about the two piece set up that I do not know where to start.

Let's just say they are less trouble.

Drip three drops in the cart from the Bat end and suck it up--Heaven.

On your question.

There are several sources for cartomizers, and endless juice comanies.

Are they different? it's hard to tell.

Try Ben at vapornine he has been GREAT, always returns e-mail, wants to create happy customers, sells Virgina blend in 24 and 36mg, the stuff making my day right now...

I like and think the juice is tastier than the prefilled carts...

I'm expecting some flue cured and RY4 ordered from easy-cig to be in my mail box today, I'll let you know how those are.

I'm sold on the KR808d-1 design and have no desire to experiment.

Next order I'll make is for Bulk blank cartomizers...

Try the Glycerin, it is the Real Vapor King

Best Regards

Hey,

If you go to the Tips and Tricks forum, then the DIY juice page you'll find in depth info.

Personally I went looking for PG because that's what my juice was cut with...

could not find it, they said they had prescription stuff only--so I settled for glycerin.

It's my understanding that there is no/zero difference between Veggi Glycerin and Animal Glycerin.

You see by the time it's refined to glycerin it's just glycerin...

Anyway, USP is what you want to see on the label, it's a indication of purity.

I found my Humco brand at Walmart...

It appears I'm set for life e.g. six ounces is quite a lot of Glycerin...

Right-on

That's awesome... if it's not broken, don't fix it. Always nice to see someone satisfied with their e-cig.
lol this reminds me, I need to order more RY4!

you know?

I think it's pointless to judge any e-cig by vapor volume alone:

Just too many variables, the juice, the charge, the draw, the smoker etc...

I was turned off by the stiffness of the draw on the 51, and the taste !!

Yuck.

But hey, that's a juice thing not a cig thing...

I've come to enjoy the low effort slow pull with a semi through the nose exhale for flavor...

the Nebula delivers on the easy draw and a pretty good battery life...

Seems my spare battery is charged and waiting by the time my in use battery flashes for a change.

Bottom line, if you want max vape look to your juice.

Actually, what's the point of vapor?

My answer is to deliver taste and nicotine.

Like breasts, anything more than a handful is quite superfluous...

No offence Ladies, I truly respect your gender.

If it were not for the generosity of women, I'm pretty sure there'd be men...lol

Be happy, you've a kick ... set right now!!

Regards
