Just picked up 100 feet of 30 gauge wire. I will also be purchasing an odysseus clone and I-Atty so I guess I need to pick up some non-resistance wire. I've decided on nickel since it's the cheapest and has worked well in my experience. What gauge would work best assuming I will be rebuilding with mainly 30 gauge kanthan and either cotton balls or wick or silica wick.

I did a kind of cool test that shows the difference between Low Gauge Wire and Higher Gauge Wire.
Higher Gauge Wire at the same Ohm level Heats up Faster and hotter.

My favorite is a 4 3 wrap lower gauge the better.
Lower Gauge gives a cooler vape and takes longer to heat up.Also will last longer. My rba with lower gauge coil last over a month.
No one is right, no one is wrong it's all about what you prefer.

My favorite is 4-3 wrap of .55 -.65 Ohm but I can't find a VV that will run it stable.

Right now I'm on my VV Bogger Box, Reomizer V2 Fc-2000 Porous Ceramic Wick at .75OHM, 28 Gauge 4-3 wrap, 4.3V [Under Load]or 25 watts.

It's an amazing vape. I'm on 100% VG Liquid and I've reduced my nic level to 3.33mg so I need that heat for the throat hit.

Tip: If the wire is too stiff for you. Put it through a blowtorch, that will make it malleable.

All that going on, and even wrapping into sub-ohm, and you don't have a trusty mech, Sir?

OP: I don't know, but the stuff from CoV is great!

I thought the question was "what gauge non resister wire was needed for 30 gauge resister wire", well if that's the question 30 or 32 gauge nickel will be fine.

Yeah I think this thread got way far away from the OP. You could also go with the pre-made NR-R-NR wire at Stormys Vapor Cellar or MadVapes.

I'm really struggling with joining my NR to my Kanthal, personally. I know I will get it eventually, but it is kind of a B-----.

My silver wire and nickel wire are both 30 gauge.

Just got in a Standard Bottom Feeding Bogger Box. While not a Mechanical as it has a switch it's giving me very decent performance.

Vaping at .55 Ohm now and it's a very nice vape.
