I did a kind of cool test that shows the difference between Low Gauge Wire and Higher Gauge Wire.
Higher Gauge Wire at the same Ohm level Heats up Faster and hotter.

My favorite is a 4 3 wrap lower gauge the better.
Lower Gauge gives a cooler vape and takes longer to heat up.Also will last longer. My RBA with lower gauge coil last over a month.
No one is right, no one is wrong it's all about what you prefer.
My favorite is 4-3 wrap of .55 -.65 Ohm but I can't find a VV that will run it stable.
Right now I'm on my VV Bogger Box, Reomizer V2 Fc-2000 Porous Ceramic Wick at .75OHM, 28 Gauge 4-3 wrap, 4.3V [Under Load]or 25 watts.
It's an amazing vape. I'm on 100% VG Liquid and I've reduced my nic level to 3.33mg so I need that heat for the throat hit.
Tip: If the wire is too stiff for you. Put it through a blowtorch, that will make it malleable.
